Batman Arkham City - 2xDVD9 to 4xDVD5 or 3xDVD5 (Inno Setup)

This is a modified version of original script by Peterf1999 for the Witcher 2.
I tested in retail version MULTI8: EN/DE/FR/ES/IT/PT-BR/PL/RU and Win7 64Bits.

Thanks to: Pakrat2k2 (for help to fix few change in the script).

4xDVD5:
1. Install the game by your choice of language.
2. Download attachment and extract in your HD (Not in your game folder).
3. Edit BatmanAC.iss with Inno Setup (ANSI version is recomended) and change the first line according to your game installation path:
4. Save it and press compile. Compile process will take 2 hours, depend of your system.
5. Your files will be in the Compiled folder.

6. Move:
Setup.exe, Setup-1*.bin to Disk 1 folder.
Move Setup-2*.bin to Disk 2 folder.
Move Setup-3*.bin to Disk 3 folder.
Move Setup-4*.bin to Disk 4 folder.

7. Burn or make ISO's with same folder names.

DVD1: 4,36GB
DVD2: 4,36GB
DVD3: 4,36GB
DVD4: 837MB


3xDVD5:
1. Install the game. (add DLC pack if you wish, only increases 100MB in the final conversion), thanks to Sulfurum1989 that showed this point.
2. Go to:
3. You will see 5 languages subfolders: English, France, German, Italian, Spain.
4. Removed or deleted 4 and leave 1 (English for example).
5. Download attachment and following the same instructions for 4xDVD5.

DVD1: 4,36GB
DVD2: 4,36GB
DVD3: 3,93GB (no DLC pack included).

NOTE: The installer has support for all languages of the game.

alias-as was only asking IF possible for 3xDVD5 NOT that he had done it.

for deleting languages... in C:\Program Files (x86)\WB Games\Batman Arkham City\BmGame\CookedPCConsole there are 5 language subfolders: English, French, German, Spanish, Italian. Deleting 4 of them results in a reduction of 1.32GB only.

The biggest folder @ 7.33GB is C:\Program Files (x86)\WB Games\Batman Arkham City\BmGame\MoviesStereo. damn pc problem... bluescreen at 50% freearc archive was 3.3GB at that time.

Thanks to Fabioddq for the CNV, but if sulfurum1989 can integrate it with the "freearc + deleting languages" procedure, it will be appreciated. :D

Worked with 3xDVD5 Pakrat! I removed 4 languages subfolders and leave 1 (English for example) and compiled again.

how can i keep only Texts in spanish and voices in english???....I hate spanish voices :S

under localization I have removed all the folders except INT

What is your path where you installed the game? Probably, you are not selecting the correct directory.

Change:

D:\Games\Batman Arkham City\

to your game installation folder, if you using default dir, the path is:

C:\Program Files (x86)\WB Games\Batman Arkham City\

Anyway, you must use Inno Setup ANSI version, not Unicode version.

Yes, for 4xDVD5 you dont need to change nothing.
Just download attachment and enter your game installation path
and follow instructions in the first post :D

Probably, this file vcredist_x86.exe is missing in your game installation folder. Make sure that you have in your original files, the folder Setup with the archives:

DXRedist folder, AMD_DCOptSetup.exe, dotnetfx35.exe, gfwlivesetup.exe and vcredist_x86.exe

Make sure before you make the conversion! I tested several times, so no bugs! :D

So I can not help it. Conversions include several changes in the layout of setup. I not remember about any conversion that maintained the original layout setup.

Before starting the conversion make a dir on your "installation directory"
& name it "setup" - put in - the DirectX folder & the files VCredistxx & gwlivexx.exe

Start the conversion & the everything in gonna be ok.. i've just check it..

Sorry for my bad english.

The compiler was doing well, i create 3 dvds (remove other language), but when i burn it to dvd's (with 8x speed), take very long time to install the game (1 dvd take 1,5 hours).

whether there is something wrong with compression or with my computer?, i'm using windows 7 32bit, AMD athlon x2 3ghz, gf9800 gt 1gb, ram 4gb.

can i change the way compression suitable with my computers?, please help me with the value..

If you change the compression, You will have to use 4xDVD5.
I tested with 3xDVD5 and installation progress worked normally.
Check your DVD's, maybe they are with any problems or make ISO's and test it before you burn.

If you change:
Compression = lzma2/ultra
to:
Compression = none
The conversion will be faster. (4xDVD5).
Now for the other values​​, sorry but I don't know. Perhaps another user can help you. :D

for faster compression/decompression IF your NOT using dual/quad core CPU

the ; at the front of the line basically means skip the line. IF you want to know more, with the ISS script open in INNO click on help, it will in detail show you what you can change the values too.

LOL! Thanks Fabioddq with the no compression toggle and it still fits in 4 DVD5! Saved me 2.5 hrs. With no compression, 5 mins is all it takes to finish compiling :)

screenshot shows you have *" at end of your path it MUST BE \" change your installed directory to end with \" then error will go away.
