Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 - (2DVD9 to 3DVD5) ENG, SP Spec Ops Only

Because of uninstall issues, i changed conversion without converters.

*Fixed Uninstall issue
*Fixed missing files

I also added pictures about uninstaller function to avoid trolls.
If you with made converters, delete them, they are faults.

Pre-process:


1. Create 3 folders, name them MW3_1, MW3_2, MW3_3

2. Extract attachment's content to MW3_1

Diving to DVDs:

1. Install the game, apply any update if required, and/or no-cd applications. etc.

2. Go to your Installed Game Folder, move Redist folder to MW3_1

3. Open FreeArc, go to your installed game's folder and compress:

by these settings. Name it data1.cab:

4. Use FreeArc and compress these files and folders in 'main' folder:

Name archive as: data2.cab

*DVD1 - 4.10GB ---> DATA1.cab - 18.7MB DATA2.cab - 4.06GB

5. Use FreeArc and compress these files in 'main' folder:

Name archive as: data3.cab

*DVD2 - 4.00 GB ---> DATA3.cab - 4.00GB

6. Use FreeArc and compress these files in 'main' folder:

Name archive as: data4.cab

7. Go to zone/english and compress ALL files EXCEPT MP in the name ( 65 files altogether, in zone\english folder).

Name archive as: data5.cab

*DVD3 - 4.25GB ---> DATA4.cab - 827MB DATA5.cab - 3.45GB

Move data1.cab, data2.cab to MW3_1
Move data3.cab to MW3_2
Move data4.cab, data5.cab to MW3_3

8. Copy autorun.inf and MW3.ico files to MW3_2, MW3_3. And edit autorun.inf files in these folder like below:

DVD1 or DVD2, there's no difference, make sure it'll find MW3.ico

check --> IE: code_post_gfx_mp.ff ( those are the multiplayer files )

Can we get a list of 'mp' files that you removed before making the installation because there is more than 39 files with 'mp' in them?

So, what about iw_09.iwd? Unless I am mistaken we aren't including it in any archive? Did you forget about it, maybe?

REV0, now that you've added iw_09.iwd to the list of files archived in data2.cab, DVD #1 doesn't have enough space for the installer + Redist + data1.cab + data2.cab..

In order to include iw_09.iwd, the files must be split between archives differently that you have right now, or compressed more than -m0, perhaps?

Please check it out when you can!

Ive played around with the filelist & got a better solution for 3xdvd5.

DATA1.cab - 18.7MB
DATA2.cab - 4.06GB

Now NO issues with size for DVD1 - 4.10GB

DATA3.cab - 4.00GB
DVD2 - 4.00GB

DATA4.cab - 827MB
DATA5.cab - 3.45GB
ALL files EXCEPT MP in the name ( 65 files altogether, in zone\english folder).

Now NO issues with size for DVD3 - 4.25GB

Hi, I've done every step of the tutorial two times and can't get it to work, wen I start the the setup, right next to choosing the language (english in my case), the setup just stops responding, tried and checked several times in task manager.

Any help? maybe an automated converter?

you have the ansi version of INNO installed ? The latest version of freearc as well ?

Once you've installed the game from your DVD9 then done the conversion, you must uninstall from your DVD9 version BEFORE you can test the install from the DVD5 version. Also make sure that you DONT include any uninstall files in the conversion process.

Yes I have the the ansi version of INNO and the latest freearc, the game is not installed, I dint include any uninstall files, still the setup.exe just stops responding, I use windows 7 x64.

i only found 64 of 65 files in zone\english ....

your biggest problem is you didnt follow the conversion steps corretly...

OF COURSE YOUR SETUP.EXE is gonna have errors.. you dont follow instructions!!! And pick 1 conversion and follow it, you seem to post issues with this one game in all the conversions posted... plain & simple do what the instructions tell you to do for that conversion.

Sorry for digging up this old thread but i got a problem with it. I followed all
the steps exactly and cant get it to work. When i run the setup ,after choosing the language, i get an error :

Runtime Error (at 312:3934):
Could not call proc.

I am using win XP sp3

Hope someone will be able to help me

EDIT: Tried the other conversion from REV0 4x dvd5 and get the same error. 2 conversions with the same problem lol (the error is
exactly the same) and i cant find a solution for it.

Before trying to install from the conversion you made, you must uninstall from your original install first. Double check each & every step make sure its correct. If it still causes errors, reinstall from originals and start over again, making sure anything you had tried before is removed.
