WHEELMAN DVD9 TO 2XDVD5
Copy the contents of the DVD9 to a new folder..Move folder Disk7 to Disk12 to somewhere else & make ISO from 1st folder..Make a new ISO with the remaining Disk folders..Disk7 to Disk12 You get a StringID_NoDisk2 error when it gets to the end of ISO 1...clicking ok just follows on to the next ISO.. |

Wheelman DVD9 to 2xDVD5 multi5 (error fixed)
1) Copy DVD content to 'Wheelman' folder 2) Download wheelman_dvd9_to_2xdvd5.7z and extract it to 'Wheelman\Disk1' folder 3) Run 01_editlayout.bat in 'Wheelman\Disk1' folder 4) Run 02_replace_files.bat (wait until it finishes) 5) Run 03_clean_up.bat 6) Delete 'Disk3' - 'Disk12' folders 7) Move data3.cab from 'Disk1' to 'Disk2' folder, replace when asked 8) Move 'Disk2' folder to SAFE place (somewhere else than Wheelman folder) 9) Burn or make image from 'Wheelman' folder with label Wheelman_1 10) Delete 'Disk1' folder and move 'Disk2 folder back to 'Wheelman' folder OPTIONAL: Edit autorun.inf and change OPEN=AUTORUN.exe to OPEN=0 for DVD2 (Might be necessary for XP users, but i have never had problems leaving it like it is on Vista and Win7) 11) Burn or make image from 'Wheelman' folder with label Wheelman_2 NOTES: Please insert disk is in English for all languages (Please insert disk 2 that contains the file data3.cab.), optionally change it to what you want by opening IPS file for your language in notepad and change text after ID_DISC2= before running 02_replace_files.bat TEST using images before burning to disk 1. Do NOT use UltraISO Virtual Drive to test images, it has problems with recognizing Disk 2. Use Daemon Tools or SlySoft Virtual CloneDrive 2. UNMOUNT Disk 1 before you MOUNT Disk 2 |

Looks like some kind of issue with 64bit systems.. works fine on 32 bit but not on 64 bit systems. When it asks for next disk that contains data3.cab, and that dvd is inserted ( which worked fine on XP 32 bit ) it says that it cannot find the path for /Disk2 which contains the data3.cab file.
Error Saying it cannot read from write protected media. Remember these ISO's worked perfectly on 32bit system. |
apparently it works ONLY with burnt media.. it still says cannt find data3.cab, but clicking ok IT CONTINUES. weird ?!?!
|
Well i just can't preproduce those kind disk2 problems, regardless how i mess with installation.
Installs fine in Win7 64bit, from Images, HDD, dvd2 has only Disk2 folder etc. @Pakrat2k2, are you sure you are getting error message with "can't find data3.cab" or normal dvd2 request "Please insert disk 2 that contains the file data3.cab." EDIT: Also have people with problems tested conversion by FREEMAN100 and did you have Disk2 problems or not with it? EDIT2: Pakrat2k2, try installing so that you UNMOUNT DVD1 before MOUNTING DVD2, this is how i have always tested my images, just like you would eject tray before changing burned disk and this also might be the cause of disk problems for others. i just tried installing without unmounting and got "can't find" error but install continued normally after pressing ok. |
Please, post more precise info
1. Used images, burned to disk, from hdd? 2. What OS? 3. What image emulation software you used? 4. If you used images then did you unmount Disk1 before mounting Disk2? 5. Did install continue when pressing OK? 6. Does it happen with FREEMAN100 conversion? I can't help anyone without any info. |
Quote:
1. Used Images 2. Vista 32bits 3. Virtual Drive UltraIso 4. unmount Disk1 before mounting Disk2. 5. does not continue the installation when I press OK. 6. not used the method of FREEMAN100 |
thx ravd its working perfect on vista 32bit.
@khronosbr try to create the image with nero 8. |
Also people with problems, check you didn't make any mistakes in conversion
and check that correct data3.cab 3,05GB (Which was created in Disk1 folder when running 02_replace_files.bat) is in Disk2 folder in DVD2 X:\Disk2\Data3.cab EDIT: I'll test UltraISO, if its problem with it and also creating images with different file system This is how i made my images. I used ImgBurn and images where made using File System: ISO9660 + Joliet + UDF, for testing those images i used SlySofts Virtual CloneDrive EDIT2: @khronosbr and Armoured, It's UltraISO's VirtualDrive problem and i get pakrat2k2's problem about Write protection when i try to browse/select Disk2 folder on DVD2 So fix for all not recognizing Disk2 problems is to use Daemon Tools or SlySofts Virtual CloneDrive ( <- I suggest this if using Win7, Daemon Tools doesn't work on it yet) |
I added this info in conversion notes.

get iscab, use iscab in my conversion for example 1) make list.txt with command Code:
ISCAB data1.cab -lx -i"list.txt"2) Extract IPS files only 3) Edit IPS files with notepad and add ID_DISC2=Please insert disk 2 that contains the file data3.cab. This would give window with title "Setup Needs The Next Disk" and text in window "Please insert disk 2 that contains the file data3.cab." without error Instead with window with label "Setup Needs The Next Disk" and text in window "ID_DISC2" and error before that 4) Run add and replace command to add modified IPS files back to cabs Code:
ISCAB.exe data1.cab -a -i"list.txt" |
