Battlefield 2142 v1.40 Crack
 

Hey,

the v1.40 crack includes the .exe and a 00000001.TMP and 00000002.TMP file.
In the description stands:

* Install the game - Full Installation.
* Apply the official Battlefield 2142 v1.4 Patch.
* Extract the File Archive to the game directory - Overwriting existing files!
* Play the Game!

But: there are no .TMP files to overwrite. Only the .exe doesn't work, any idea?

Copy all three files out of the crack package; if you don't have those *.TMP files already in your game installation directory, well, there's nothing to overwrite but, still, do copy them there. As for the crack not working, what does that mean? Read the forum FAQ on what to try with non-working cracks first.

Hey i just downloaded and installed the bf2142 1.40 crack and when i try run the game it says.

~e5.0001 has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

Any ideas on this. If its my fault or the creators fault?

Also does anyone knwow if this crack allows online play.

this indicates that safedisc hasn´t ben removed. the exe seems to includ a loader wich can cause problems...
perhaps we will see a proper unwrapped executable soon.

My retail disk with installed the game but give me the "please ensure BF2142 Install Disc is in drive" when I tried to play. The 1.25 no cd crack fixed my problem and the game worked perfectly.

Now with freshly installed retail game and 1.40 patch the new no cd isnt working for me. I have tried all EA tips and this sites (i think). My SecDrv.inf is updated. My drivers are updated. Tried multiple installs. Tried shutting off and eliminating any trace of emulators and installed fresh.

I have since purchased another EA game (Crysis) and it works fine.

I hoping to avoid trying to send out for a new disk to find out its my comp. Any help is appreciated.

Well, then, for a test, try it on another PC. ;)

I will try that when possible and I'm guessing it will work. If it does I cant really afford new equipment just to fix this problem:{ Please help.

I re-installed and did the 1.25 patch with the crack from this site and it fixed the problem but after the new patch it wont let me join MP games (says invalid cd key) but does allow single player.

I wonder if you had a tip as to what might be difference between the 1.25 no cd fix and the 1.40 no cd fix??

The 1.25 nodvd patch works very good. The 1.40 nodvd patch don´t.

I´ve installed my original bf2142 (spainsh version) +norhern strike + 1.40 patch + your v1.40 crack. I read your instructions for install correctly the crack but when I execute de game it still demands the dvd in the drive.

Originally in the spanish game instalation, there is not exist any *.tmp files. I´ve reinstalled and don´t have emulators and my drivers are updated.

Anyone can help me???

so just to clarify, the patch works with the original, and its the crack/loader you're having issues with?

it seems to be fine for me so far

the only problem i've got with the 1.40 crack is that every time i try to access the audio options after i've logged in, the application closes and i have to restart it! :eek:

and it only does this with the audio settings button, so would anybody have an idea to what might cause that?

Where you load? GCW?

And what have you done with the .TMP files?

The EA 1.40 patch works fine. The crack don´t works with my original Bf2142 v1.40 game (spanish version).

did u mean where i got the 1.40 crack from? if so then i got it from wcg yes

and i've copied the .TMP files in my bf folder which is D:\battlefield 2142\

each time i join a online game it says "Only players with unmodified content can join. Revert your version to the original bf2142" or something like that

@PS2viciado: Use original EXE for online play, game looks like it checks if the EXE is original before letting you online!

@makimaki: mr.hanson means to copy the crack and TMP files into your BF2142 folder like you already have done and he he asked where you downloaded the 1.40 crack from which was GameCopyWorld! I don't think he has any idea why the audio options make the game crash! Does this crash with the audio options happen with the original 1.40 EXE?

i tried using an original exe but the game doesnt load... any more tips?!

People pretty much only play 2142 online, its single player is basically non existant. 1.25 crack worked fine online. People use the nodvd just so they dont have to keep swapping the disc into the drive to play online.

I am also having problems with this 1.4 n-dvd as others above. Prompts me to insert the install disc whenever I try and play after patching 1.4 officl ana applying tft 1.4 no-dvd crack.

If the original won't work then the publishers forum is the place to seek help I'm afraid.

i dont no, i only use the no-dvd cracks to play since i dont have my original bf2142-dvd anymore :(

otherwise i wouldnt be able to play but i cant tell u since i cant use the original .exe without the original dvd

@makimaki: Get a replacement DVD.

@PS2viciado: If the game doesn't work without a crack, why do you expect it to work with a crack?! Contact the publisher/developer, get help with the original game (not using a crack), make it work and then try again to use a crack.

ye thanks alot, i know i need a replacemente, but im not going to pay another 14euros and send it by mail, and wait 1month to get disc... thats why i want to use crack, and if u cant help me with it then dont post silly replys

i expected it to work because the crack are 2 small files that u put in your directory that are no the bf2142.exe files, thats why i expected it to work duhh

This crack does not work with my multi5 dvd while playing online -- just crash after press 'join' button. :( All previous cracks starting from v1.0 works fine.

Don't piss the mods off when they try to help!

ok i'm a new guy to this forums and i think i've read all the posts in this thread and know what's going on...

when you applied the v1.25 crack, you had to add a new SwiffPlayer.dll file and replace the old one. to get v1.4 to work, you need the original swiffplayer.dll file in there together with the new crack and the 000000001 and 000000002 files.

the only problem i've been having with the 1.4 crack, is that when i join a server, i get disconnected because of PunkBuster. and idk what it's detecting...

When you get kicked by punkbuster it should give you an error message why it kicked you like modified files or something like that.

yea, that's what i thought, but it doesn't, it just shows a plain box with the title PUNKBUSTER here's a screenshot of what im talking about

btw in the BF2142 folder in my documents, what folders are supposed to be in the Profiles Section because i think i might of screwed around a bit there a while ago...

If you can stand losing the saves just uninstal the game, delete all folders created by the game and reinstall then patch and try the crack again!

Punkbuster is probably detecting modded files as kosmiq says!

I have been able to use the 1.4 crack successfully.

I think the problem people are having is that they haven't restored their SwiffPlayer.dll from the 1.25 crack. (credit to bigmike for reminding me of this)

I restored this file, the original bf2142.exe, and applied the official 1.4 patch from ea. Then, I copied in the 3 files and was able to run the game without incident.

I logged in and joined a few servers. I connected 3/3 without issue.

Can someone post a a copy of the swiffplayer dll? rather than me having to dl entire 1.25 patch again.

I'm a total noob who has never used a no DVD fix.

I clicked the disk icon on the 1.40 Game Copy World page and then saved the 5.67MB file to one of my folders.

When I double click on it it opens in my Notepad as a bunch of unreadable mess...

The instructions say to extract the file somewhere, but when I right click the 5.67MB file I don't have Extract to as an Option.

Does anyone have any very specific total NOOB instructions for installing this no-DVD fix???

(FYI - I have the 2142 retail DVD game fully installed and I applied the full 1.40 patch already.
And I effing HATE EA and think that a class action lawsuit for fraud should be brought against them for selling games that do not work, games which cater to a protected group (minors) in which they take advantage of by taking their money and giving them games that fail to even start up. I'm a top battlefield 2142 player (or was) until my game stopped working - "Ding" - Please insert 2142 CD in the drive and select Ok to retry" - I've seen that message about 1,000 times, and reinstalled the game about 15 times, but no matter what tricks or bull sh*t suggestions I follow given to me by crap EA tech support my game will not start up - I am desperate to just be able to play the darn game that I paid $50. (and $10. for Northern Strike) for - PLEASE HELP ME).

The file from the website is an archive file, in this case a .rar archive. You will need to install a program that can open .rar files. I suggest winrar from www.winrar.com

Ok, so I thought it was successfull. I was able to play, connect, etc. just fine right after using the patch and crack.

Now I have rebooted, and am having some problems, but I'm not sure if it's the crack or what. I'm having trouble joining servers. It's slow as hell to connect, and very slow during the loading process. By the time it hits about 50% loaded it basically freezes. The computer itself down't necesarily freeze, the cursor is animated and moves, appears to respond to ctrl alt del but has a hard time getting out of the game.
