Anno 1701 V1.01 - Crack Problem
 

Well the crack gives me some problem in granny2.dll ...

can't run the game ... any help

What problem; error message, what? Read the forum FAQ on how to report problems!

Does it work when patched to v1.01 using original CD/DVD?

just reinstall from org. DVD, patch to 1.01 and copy the crack. That will work!

Yes I can run the game using origional exe and origional dvd in place.

completely reinstall the game, update to 1.01 and then try again the crack.

It sounds like the crack is not for your version (or you patched it wrong), hence the error for the call in granny2.dll! The Razor update contained the German patch.

Looking at both the German and the UK Patch, both contain the same version of granny2.dll (487,936 bytes) and both are identical when file compared. The crack runs with both versions files, although I had to find an mss32.dll to make it work to the black loading screen, after that It won't run as I don't have the game :) But it proves the error is not with the crack or patches, so it must be some problem with your patch or game!

I used UK patch, Just to check I also dowloaded US version and as per my expectations, it didn't run ....
I don't think that there is any patching problem as game runs fine with my origional DVD, anyways I am downloading german version of patch as well,
lets see what's the outcome

Try deleting the granny2.dll before patching, just in case it's not being overwritten with the one from the patch.

Thnx man, though your idea didn't work (it was beig overwritten with the one from te patch), i got another idea from above. I made backp of origional granny2.dll and replaced it over the new one, guess what everything is ok now. Thnx man .

granny is a utility made by the bink movie people that helps play animations in games.

when i installed patch 1.02 and recracked the game (and then it didnt work) i repeated the process but saved the granny2(being the file mentioned in the error message) from version 1.0. What happens then is the games functions, however their are many glitches and basic problems involving graphics erorrs and computer players reporting incorrect hostile behaviour on my own behalf. Also, the intended increase of the maximum number of boats is returned to just 20 (1.02 makes it 50). So...does anyone know of a crack for 1.02?????
