Anno 1701 Fixed Image Problems
 

Found this one on Gamescopyworld but I get an error when I try to mount it.

I use the latest version of Virtual CD.
Anyone got it to work or can try if he's able to mount this thing?
or is there a way I can create my own image of the DVD without having much experience? :>

probably new blacklisting by jowoods x-prot, yep u need to wait for a crack or for some anti-anti tools to update.

This Image is not even loadable with VirtualCD . . . so CGW could remove it. :mad:

yeh jowood prot probably 'upped' the protection because they got screwed with vc8 on gothic, so they've probably blacklisted it heavily now, but thats no indication the image doesn't actually work, perhaps you need to use hiding tools or something

I read the whole tread but in my opinion - forget it! Sometimes it works, sometime not etc. pp.
I will wait for a real working Daemon or Alcohol Image or a real no CD. Until this will come, I will use my DVD.

I have registered for it - but it is not worth it. You have to:

1. Make a VCD-Image from the original DvD.
2. Replace the Anno1701.v8 with the from the fixed image from gcw.
3. Mount the Anno1701.v6 in your physikal Drive, NOT the virtual. (maybe deactivate all visual drives).

Forget it - this is not a no CD! :(

sounds like it's the same as gothic3 and that works.
U need to disable ALL virtual drives even the VCD drives. only the virtual RAM drive can be enabled. it is important that the drive letter of the phys drive is lower than the letter of the v RAM drive. than just mount the image in your phys drive and play.
if game doesnt start mount in RAM drive and than again in phys drive.

Much too much work. I will use my org. DVD until there comes a better (Daemon) Image or a real noCD Crack.

so u'll have to wait for a crack because there won't be a fixed alcohol image because alcohol can't handle tagés

Maybe - but this method is worse than using the org DVD. ;)

Unless they recently updated their protection schemes, Razor should be able to make a working crack.
Guess their Gothic crack was proof enough ;)
Dunno what Reloaded's part is in that story, but they also released some Tages cracks for recent games.

There is a Anno1701 ''protection remover'' available as torrent.
It contains an encrypted .bat script.

Anybody knows if this works ?

i would very much doubt it works, i'd also have a look at it before running it.. sounds a little 'suspicious'...be careful

you cant really encrypt a bat file that much, u sure its a real bat file and not an exe or something?

its a bat script, and yes theres an official way from microsoft to encrypt bat files,
protecting your source code.
Trust me, i'm a programmer ;-)

This could be to protect the crackers source code or to hide harmful code.

im a programmer too, never came across a batch (.bat) file encryptor, sure i've seen .vbs encryptors, and so on.. never a bat one though.. i've seen bat2com (which converts a bat file into an executable com file), have you got a link on the official way from microsoft? (im curious now) :)

already searched for in the kb but didnt find it in 3 mins, so i left it -_-

i ve downloaded it, i opened the rar file and started the cracker.exe file but my "anti vir" software shows me a warning that this file contains an virus/trojan called "stealer.exe" ....dont know if it really is an virus but i didint tried it again so lets hope that there will be a crack soon... i have searched the net the whole day but i found nothing ....

edit: i have tested it......my pc crashed !!!

if you have had look in the i-net u would have found out that this is a worm...

Thx 4 help but no need to worry i have searched 4 this files and reg entrys ...
they dont exist so i think my anti vir had blocked it anyway in one way or another
bdw i have read the description of this worm and i can t see any harmful effects of this worm the only thing it does is to attack other homepages ....
and to build some unwanted files in different orders of you harddrive so not that bad i think or i am really stuipid^^

so on lets talk about the real problem.....WHERE THE HELL CAN I GET A FUCKING CRACK 4 the game ;))

naw m8, easier way of testing would be to have someone skilled in programming to have a look at it, or testing it on a vmwared system.. most of us were pretty positive it was a malicious program... i can only hope you made a backup of your system... in the future really... never ever ever ever ever run a program you're unsure of (expecially an 'unknown' crack released on torrents of all things)..

so i am not really good at this things lets say i am noob with this
but i have tried to do a crack with gamejackel but it doesnt worked i though that it would be easy to do a crack with this programm beacause i thought that the only thing i have to do is to mount the image with daemon or VCD and then to create a new crack with Jackal ....maybe some of you have tried this before but hey i am a noob^^ i was just thinking :))

That Mini Image actually works!

You have to make an DVD-Image (with Virtual CD v8) of the original Anno-DVD or(!) an existing Anno-image you've already made.
You'll get some Anno1701-files ( --> *.000, *.001, *.002, *.VBL, *.ico, *.jpg, *.htm AND *.vc4). Adding the .vc6-file from GCW you can mount Anno1701.

Make sure that you can mount a virtual drive onto a physical drive and mount it onto your first (physical) drive! Only by doing this the copy protection won't find out that you're using an image!

ok i have made a dvd image and i cpoied the file from gwc into dte VCD folder and now i am trying to mount the image to my physical drive but with vcd i cant only with deamon tolls but then it won t work

oh do i have to make a iso image of the dvd image or normal and wahts the thinh with the automatic mode etc?
