Battlefield 2142 Fixed Mini Image Request
 

G'day folks

could someone please create a mini image of bf2142 so i can play onlien without having to use my dvd disk.

if so can yas just put it on gammeburrnworrld and i'll get it the next day as i check it everyday.

im gagging for this i have the game coming in 2 days and therefore will need it for then.

i use one for bf2 its 200kb and is 47mb when its a image in alcohol.

so if someone can make one for bf2142 then plz do so.

I have been trying to make a mini image but have had no luck...

I'm using the full image for now and it works fine.

Hmm what happened? What was the problem that you couldnt create a mini image? got readingspeed probs or something?

maybe we can help you to create that image. Dantohr and I was trying yesterday, too but unfortunatly we got a Problem with the readingspeed. If you don`t got the same problem im able to help you i think ^^.

Yeah, I cannot set the reading speed when I try to create the image. I get NO error messages at all... I only get the option to skip errors.

If I try to stop the creation of the image at anything other than 100%, then the image does not work to load BF2142.

damnit, we just got the same problem. But i think some people know how to make the image otherways.

with the moh pacfic assault fixed mini image

its 200kb but when i look at the size after its been put on a image drive in alcohol i gtake a look at the size and it says 1.7gb or something

does this mean its uncompressed it to 1.7gb and is imaging that on my hard drive taking up 1.7gb or is it only taking up 200kb.

Hmm i cant help you there, but please make your extra Thread for it. I think youll get more feedback if the Topic is named like the game you have problems with.

this thread only exists to get a mini image or some help for our problem with the readingspeed that is locked for us.

I would take any kind of working image, mini or not. I'm also willing to give out an FTP server for someone to upload it if it's too big.

I know some people have had the game working with a full image, but that's where the reading speed comes into play and I can't get it to work whatsoever.

this fakking new safedisc bans all v-drives, so we must wait for a new daemon to come up. big respect from me if you could bypass this though :)

Macio the problem is, we cant even create the mini image, if bf2142 doesnt accept the mini-image then it would be another problem but at first we need to get a fixed image.

And thats not easy dude, im just searching for hours every day but nothing. I also searched Russiansites and i cant even read that crappy language.

Does anyone have a good torrent link to download the full fixed image for 2142?

Good news, the game works with CD/DVD Rom physically removed. I loaded the image in DT and it worked. Even better news is, I plugged the drive back in and disabled it in Device Manager, the game works like a charm.

Now I don't know how to disable CD/DVD Rom via registry. Could setup a script to disable the drive whenever the game is launched. Problem solved.

Please help with drive disable hack in registry.

EDIT: Ok so once the cdrom is working and I disable it, I have to restart the computer with the drive disabled. Once the drive is disabled on restart, I can enable and disable it and 2142 will work, of course while it's disabled. But if the drive is enabled on restart, disabling it without restart won't work.

So for the people that it's not working, can you disable the drive in Device Manager and restart the computer? See if that works? It worked for me, several times.

i disalbed my cd/dvd rom in device manager and i loaded my bf2142 razor image in daemon tools (i have applyed the patch 1.01 and the crack 1.01 no cd), but i can't connect to my profile. i have bought an original cd key, so what can i do to play this game? (sorry for my bad english, i'm italian)

Don't apply the nocd patch when you have the image in DT loaded. That nocd patch is only for offline play. Restore your original exe file and you'll be set.

hey you cant play online with a fixed exe thats why you need to used a fixed image

if u keep trying to your cd key will be banned.

use alcohol 120% 1.9.5 build 4521.

since its dvd you dont have a protection profile to choose so you'll have to just make the image then copy it to the image drive and it should work.


Here in Australia the game was only released yesterday so i have pre ordered it but its gonna take a week to get here. which sucks.


hey folks i have an idea

have any of yas used gamejack. it will allow you to create a image file and you can then use this special program within it to run the game off a fixed dvd disk.

good think is this will allow yas to create a backup.

problem with me in i dont want to waste 3 gigs on a image as that makes the game equal 6 gigs. so thats why i need a mini image.


btw pansen i been on russian sites too i cant make sence of it myself lol or german sites for that matter.

i speak 2 languages english and very bad english.

anyways thanks folks and i'll sit back and see how things go i cant help anymore as i dotn have the game yet but i'll have me it next week.

I got my bf2142 delivered online but the dvd came broken and I can't get a refund.

I really need a mini-image so I can play online. There has to be a way...

Because all I really have is my cd-key and my receipt in my email.

You need to show/send them a proof of purchase: broken DVD, invoice etc. Ask them for details.

great, I don't even have the dvd anymore. The invoice alone might work though.

What is the file i edit to type razor1911 in. Is it the following file -
C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\My Documents\Battlefield 2142\Profiles\Default then profile.con

I have the original dvd just got it today, well my brother got it and has lent it to me so i can try out single player only. So i DL the nocd and read the readme file and told me to edit the profile.con

well it says this:
Unpack Default_profile.zip into %USERPROFILE%\My Documents\Battlefield 2142\.
Then open %USERPROFILE%\My Documents\Battlefield 2142\Profiles\0001\Profile.con
with a text editor and change its content to your likings.

As you can see in my one it has no 0001 folder it goes straight to Profile.con. When i edit it and start up BF2142 then log in Razor1911, what password word do i enter? I chose anything, then hit ok and it says going to singleplayer blah blah - then says something about profile not found. So i cannot get into single player.

I dont want to play multi - i can't even if i wanted as i have 56k! lol

How do i get to play SP?

Also if this dont work can this game have two accounts under the same key? AS i could just go online and create my own for single player while my brother can still play online.?

Even if its not the right Thread for that post...No! you cant register 2 accounts with the same CDkey. EA fixed that problem from BF2 and 1942. But if you use the Nocd crack youll not be able to connect to the internet you can only play the single player and i think the singleplayer sucks. Coz you cant get rewards and always have the same equip etc.

Yep but im getting BroadBand in Dec then i'll buy my own copy, meanwhile i just wanted to try the single player out, also their be some single player mods coming out sooner or later, such as the 32 to 64 player maps mods which opened up for SP like there was for BF2, but yes it sucks now yet give or take a few months ( hopefully weeks :) ) these mods will start showing up on the net then single player will be as good as it was in BF2. By then i should be playing multi. There will also be weapons unlocker for SP sooner or later.

Anyways the razor1911 trick must work otherwise these guys wouldn't write it up for us.

Yeah but i hope you know, that Punkbuster scanning the exe data and if its currupted (not original) your CDkey can get banned, and i dont want that!.

So i better play with a DvD and wait for a mini image before i my cdkey get banned -.-

but it'll be chnaged as soon as the next patch comes out

ea downloader is up to date with 1.01

but bf2142 will likely have about 20 patches before the end of its time so that fixed exe will work till 1.02 patch comes out in like 3 weeks time.

the idea of a fixed image to so that the game is not modified.

if the exe file or any other file in the game is modified other then profile files then punkbuster will pick it up thats why 40.000 cd keys where banned from bf2 mate.

a fixed image makes punkbuster think its the original disk because no files have been modified.

if you wish to play single player then a fixed exe will work. and there must be some crack out there to allow you to unlock all the weapons and everything for single player mode.

anyways has anyone tried gamejack yet?

I wasn't able to make a mini image, but I was able to make a full image. And, out of curiosity, I tried that exe that someone posted previously, and can confirm that it will start the game and allow you to log in. I did not actually go into a game using it. I do not know if it is an ea downloader exe or not. If so, it is probably safe to use. If not, then if punkbuster kicks you too many times, your cd key will get banned.

Anyway the EA Downloader exe file is ok. You can play with it and i love it ^^.

So just Download that exe and keep on playing :P

but i think it'll only work until the next patch comes out

We all know that since it is EA, it will likely be months before a new patch. I'm sure someone will share the ea downloader exe when that happens anyway..just like now.

Can anyone with a little coding know-how confirm this? I don't want to use this until it's confirmed that it's not stealing your CD-key or raping my kernels and what not.

Wouldn't you be able to play WITHOUT the DVD by using the EA Downloader ? I mean get the Retail DVD but use the EA downloader and download the game? I was thinking about doing this, can someone confirm if this gonna work before i buy the retail DVD.

It doesn't work like that. You have to first purchase a game through EA's website, and then that purchase is tied to your EA account. Then you use the EA Downloader, log into your account, and the downloader sees what purchases you have made.

Just downloading the EA downloader itself doesn't give you access to any retail content.

Ok, let me rephrase it. What about if you know someone that purchased the online version and then he backups those files? You then just copy and use YOUR own account that you've created with your dvd purchase? Is that possible?
