Okay guys, here's how I made it:

I created a good image with alcohol, mounted it in DT4 and used pr0t.st0p.

I do not know what kind of protection this game has, so I tried the latest versions of SR7Stop,SD4Hide,antiblah...nothing worked but pr0t.st0p!

I'm nearly sure that this won't work for everybody of you but I made it on MY system and was successfull with it.

Pr0t.St0p is the next version of SR7.Stop 1.2, with SafeDisc 4 support so, probably, that game is protected by SafeDisc 4.

How??? I tried exactly the same method and always get the "emulator detected" message. Created my image with UltraISO though, I'll try Alcohol asap.

Nope, didn't work with Alcohol created image either. It takes longer (like 10secs with Acohol image instead 2secs with UltraISO image) but "emulator detected" message still pops up.

How to fix that? How did you do it exactly? I tried max dpm and still not working. Please help...

Ahm...do you mean the dpm measurement in alcohol? max dpm is unprecise, try to use the slowest method of measurement(1x) and uninstall alcohol and other programs with virtual drives (not Daemon Tools!) after creating the image. Maybe this will help but like I said, it worked on MY system...

Ok, I'll try a slow dpm. The problem is whenever I mount the image that message pop up. Even if I run the original DVD and Alcohol and Demon still running it works. So those emulator programs are not the problem per se. Either my created image is not good enough or Securom detects Dtools even when using that Pr0t.St0p. But I must say I saw an "improvement" when using the Alcohol image over the UltraISO image, it took a long while before EAW finally said the emulator message. Maye slowing down dpm does the trick.

By the way, what version of EAW are you running? US one?

Edit: Scrap the last one, saw you're in Germany. I'm too atm that's why I got a german version, crappy enough it's not multilanguage.

Nope, still doesnt work. Either I get "emulator detected" or "security module could not be activated" (when I hide the emulator manually using restrictions in the reg database). Well, time to wait till a working image or crack and play with DVD.

What protection is now used? Securom oder safedisc? Could someone scan the game?

It might be an idea for those having problems with emulator & similar messages to use device manager to disable thier physical CD drives before using Pr0t.St0p.
This has worked for me with every securom game I've tried. (Emulator detected & security module could not be activated are Securom messages)

Disableing the drives via device managerl? Neat idea, trying that now. Never had to do that with Securom (like Republic Commado or others) but worth a try.

Nope, doesn't work either. Maybe my image is simply not good enough.

Ever tried to burn the image with Alcohol and RMPS enabled?

Well then I would habe two DVD I don't wanna use. I'd like an image so my DVD drives don't need to run.

I cannot get it to run! Tried everything! Even with org. DVD the fu***** Software tells I have to deactivate Emulation Software . . . . Any idea? I have Alc 120 installed! Do I need also Daemon 4 or is here anyone who get it to run with Alc only?

Yep, it's working. Create a good image with alcohol, use Daemon tools and the newest curerom 1.3.0b from cd media world. In alcohol i would recommend slow dpm and emulation rmps and safedisc. Worked well for me :D Good luck.

It is really shit - If I try to make an Image, the "List" of Protection goes away! If try to make an Image of another DVD I have not this "feature". I use Alcohol 120, latest version. Does it depend on my DVD Burner? It is a Toshiba DL with LS . . . .
I hate this game. No way to get the image working and the org DVD detects the "Virtual Drives" . . . So it seems I have to wait for a working Mini / Maxi Image - and the best: I can´t give it return - I have opened the box . . . I really love MediaMarkt :(


PS Maybe I am numb! How do you make an Image with SecureRom option with this DVD???? Everytime I put the DVD into my drive, this functions are blown away . . . Do I need another helper tool? By the way - I have the german DVD version with an extra bonus DVD. So please - what I am doing wrong?

You're right, there is no option to choose the copy protection (this is only available when copying CDs), well, then:
just create an image without choosing a protection, but be sure to have DPM data enabled (Messung der Datenposition).
Now you can just mount the image, sometimes (I never had to) you must use one of those crappy SR7 hide tools, but I guess you already know that ;)

I run this game using curerom 1.3b but to all you who still can't run EAW with this program, try run curerom in LITE mode, than enable blacklist option - should works. I tried it on 2 difrent computers and it worked on both of them. I turned off my physical drive in computer managment panel but don't know if it is necessary. I made images from cd version.

I cannot get it to work - tried really all!

It seems, there is a difference between the CD and the DVD version. The most f***ing shit is - on my Notebook I even cannot get the org. DVD to run - because it "finds" a Emulator Software and Virtual Drives. And I am not willing to uninstall other Software for it - so if there comes no Image or no CD within the next days, I will sell the crappy thing on ebay :mad:
If anybody has a working kind of Image, please send me a PM or link!
By the way - I found only the DVD Version here in german stores!

Weird thing :/ Anyway i am not sure if it is ok but if you bought originall maybe you can download image files with what curerom will works ? Well I don't know if it is piracy. On the other hand if you have originall why you can't just use your dvds ?

If I start from the Org. DVD the Software says after one or two seconds: "Emulator Software and Virtual CDs detected. Please uninstall and deactivate Virtual drives . . ."

Ahhhh... "Org.DVD=origanall dvd" :) Sry my english is not good and I didn't understand it at beggining, well I was talking with my friend who has DVD version and he said that he doesn't have any problems with running it on laptop using curerom but he must run it in lite mode too. Make image files using Alcohol, than uninstall Alcohol and try run it using DT4 and curerom, we will see if it is alcohol problem.

It does. Neither original runs once installed if Daemon/Alcohol is installed (Original disc could not be found or authenticated. Please insert original disc)

I had to use CureROM 1.3b in order to launch ORIGINAL DVD (testing from a REAL drive)

From image, it launches sometimes using the "Lite" option in CureROM, or just mounting in daemon and launching with SecuROM Loader.

When i´m creating a new curerom profile, which Application exe do i have to choose? and what means application arguments?

Alcohol 120% is shit, if you don't burn cds or dvds don't have it installed. Only install Daemon-Tools 403.

Now, Curerom worked for me, once (tried both 1.22 and 1.30b). At this point I'm using Securom loader, yes, the game is protected with SECUROM NOT SAFEDISC.

So, for the people where Curerom or pr0t.st0p doesn't work. Try Securom-Loader

Make sure you have no shiz- installed cause that can cause trouble too. (like older versions of alcohol, or daemontools.

Forget my silly question.. it WORKED!

GERMAN DVD Version

I made an image with alcohol, using DPM, Precision High.

Using Curerom, activated Anti-Blacklist Option, no other settings (no mounting, emulation settings activated here!)

Using DT4, mounting Image, Emulation RMPS.


Thats all, worked fine for me!

Well, he's German (Sascha ?), and as German games produce German error messages, it's hard to guess the exact english words.
And i assume, even with inserting the original, the game will say, emulation software found. It will look for DT and Alc and whatever in general, not if the original is inserted or not.
I had the same problem with Spellforce, before I found out that AntiBlaxx would have fixed the prob, I had to create a new WinXP user account...

There is a mini-image floating around!

Just tried it and it works much better than the DVD image. Works 100% of the time now.

The filesize is about 100mb, so I doubt gamecopyworld would host it.

Used A-ray to scan it and it's Securom.

Must be a newer version that Srstop can't get past, and neither can SD4 Stoper.

Hi. I bought EAW on Friday and have since lost the disks. Luckily I make a habit of storing Images of the disks on my HDD. Unfortunately I cannot get the game to work now without the original CDs.

I'm not very good at this, so can someone tell me exactly how I can get the game working again please?

In step by step, easy to understand stages please?

How do you loose the discs in two days?
First off, I would contact whoever made the game (lucasarts?) and ask them to send you a new copy proabably with a fee.
Second, I guess you'll have to wait for GCW to host a no-cd or mini-image.

I can confirm that the mini image does indeed work. It takes like a minute for the game to start, but it works. Full image takes a few seconds, but it doesn't work.

Going through all that trouble, i asked myself if it's not easier to just put the CD in and play lol.

Could someone please give me a download link (pm)? Please, that would help me!
