a 'full' image is an image you create, from your original disc, using Alcohol 120%. ;)

Creating an Alcohol 120% Image

Please can you tell me the settings I need to use to create an the full image with Alcohol 120%, it the bottom right hand corner there are several options to select when creating an image, it starts on custom, but there are other option like secuROM, StarForce, Laserlock etc etc etc...

It there one I need to select from the drop down list or do I just leave the settings as they are?

Find out the copy protection with ProtectionID or A-Ray Scanner, then you'll know which profile to select at the bottom of the window.

I think it's still easier to change the compatibolity mode of .exe file to windows NT and play it with full image mounted. I haven't had any problems with it so far.

Alcohol Image

I created the full image using "safedisc 2/3" on a read speed of 4x.
Mounted it with Daemon Tools v4, with all emulation options enabled.
Changed the compatibility to Windows NT 4.0 (Service Pack 5)
Then run the game!!

Has worked for me so far...no crashes or errors!

:)

so what you are sayingis that mini images are kaput for this game??

DABhand 12-12-2005 02:11

Yep.

Hondekop 12-12-2005 05:16

Well, It doesn't work for me !
the moment I patched to 6.0.1, I'm not be able to play with the copy, keeps asking for the original cd and I've to use my original.

I can't get it to work! I've made a full image and mounted it in Daemon, but every time I try to start the game, it can't find the CD.

What's the device manager?? Maybe I should try that.

I've also heard people talking about running the game in Windows 2000 or NT mode, but that doesn't help me either.

Of course I could just run the game from the original CD, but who wants to risk scratching it??

Read the forum FAQ on how to make images work.

baza72 02-01-2006 07:28

Works on 6.0.2 as well

This method works as long as you have made a full image of your disc with Alcohol

1. Mount full image in Daemon v4
2. Install From Image
3. Apply 6.0.2 patch
4. Disable any optical drives via Device Manager (if using 2000 you may have to reboot after this step)
6. Play the game!

Tested succesfully numerous times works every time on XP and 2000

"what is Device Manager?".....You are joking....right?
