Protection Matrix Path of Neo?

Gamecopyworld say that it's protected with securom 7.12 but my original dvd has 7.17 and infact I can't run it with maxi image of gcw...it say "security module etc..." with antiblah, antiblaxx and sr7stop.
I have change compatibility to win200 but it don't start
how to start it?

DABhand 12-11-2005 07:18

With the maxi-image try this..

Mount image with daemon, close daemon from taskbar (make sure you had all emulation on) when closing say yes when it says do you wish to keep emulation options running..

Next run, Antiblaxx 1.18 (the new one) select the game exe, and manually select Securom from the protection list.

Start the game with antiblaxx (run game option)

If it fails to even run then, also use one of the many Securom 7 tools out to hide daemon tools driver.

Smood47 12-11-2005 07:38

DABHand I Did what you said but I keep getting the message:

"Emulator detected, please disable emulator"

I didn't use antiblaxx because it does not work well for me, instead I used both sr7 once and also antibleh.. but it still won't work.

By the way the game is patched.. v.1.01 US Vers.. so that might have something to do with it.

Hey I join in your thread, its happans to me too after I done the patch of the 1.01.
please help us.

ferzerp 12-11-2005 08:34

I'm having the same issue. After updating to patch 1, I can't get it to work without uninstalling everything like alcohol and damon tools and using the original dvd.

the patch updated securom in some way. Even after reverting, I've got bits of the newer securom and can't play.

ravid 12-11-2005 08:57

damn it, I really need this patch to play...
I tried all the possible combos of the securom software and nothing work.

THE LEGEND 12-11-2005 10:16

Well guys, I just noticed that the alcoholclone version released a few days ago has multi-language support (the only release for this game), which leads me to believe that this might be the EUROPEAN version.
And the patch is for the US RETAIL version.
So I think its not that it updates securom, it just might not be the correct game version.
So someone should release the US RETAIL version of this game, or atari should release the euro patch.
Does anyone have the retail us version to confirm if the US version has multilanguage?

ferzerp 12-11-2005 10:26

I'm not sure what you mean about released alcoholclone, but after I had applied the patch on my system, I have uninstalled the game and reinstalled it to try to be able to play with an image and it won't work anymore, even unpatched.

The issue is that Securom now sees daemon tools or alcohol and nothing you can do will cloak your emulators from it. anti-blaxx, anti-blah, sr7.stop, etc. it still sees them.

prollfin 12-11-2005 10:28

@THE LEGEND: You know that warez talk isn't allowed here, don't you?

ferzerp 12-11-2005 10:31

Oh yeah, and denying it read access to the MountedDevices key just makes it refuse to even try to validate the cd.

Lostconfused 12-11-2005 10:45

Well i instaled the patch and the game stoped working. But when i reinstaled the game without the patch it started working again. Also about the patch, it does patch all language version of the game (it patches the french, spanish, chinesse and other what not files) so i dont think its a US only patch.

ferzerp 12-11-2005 10:48

This is strange, I will have to dig deeper to figure out why I can't even play unpatched now.

holiace 12-11-2005 10:50

Well...

I'm really a n00b... So don't know a thing about this :P But i know it's not working...

There is a new anti-blaxx which has several fixes including the dreaded kill daemon tools. Its all fixed.

holiace 12-11-2005 11:32

Eeeh...

A NEW anti-blaxx?

ferzerp 12-11-2005 11:57

i have 1.18, doesn't help this issue.

LoL, what a bunch of hypocrits...
Ok, no warez allowed, even though you talk of daemon and image mounted. Do you actually think people dont know what youre talking about?
If you had the retail game, no daemon tools is needed.
As I said, hypocrits...

Lostconfused 12-11-2005 12:37

well i use SR7.Stop to get the game to run

LoedD 12-11-2005 12:40

I know that this is no support forum but I can't change the resolution and detail level. Has anyone the same ****?

Ehh.... ok? version 1.0?

ravid 12-11-2005 13:36

sure he means the 1.0...
i use it to make the game work in this ver.
please some one find a damn crack allready.:(

plethaus 12-11-2005 14:06

Yeah, I'm having the same problems here after patching the game. It looks like they included the very newest version of SecuROM 7 which no one seems to be able to get around.

Looks like we're out of luck.

Perhaps before thinking your smarter than most, you can digest this information before calling everyone a hypocrit..

1. People have the originals, no warez support is here, your so good im sure you read the rules first didnt ya, no? ouch

2. People use various Image making utilities to help play the game without using their originals, thus prolonging its life. This isnt a warez issue, so whats hypocritical about it?

3. Why they want their games in prestige condition? Perhaps they wish to sell it later on when they are bored with it, people are more inclined to buy a good condition game rather than one with scracthes on the surface. It is a simple fact of the matter.

If you have any problem with the BOARD RULES, then leave the forum and never come back !!!

ferzerp 12-11-2005 17:12

With version 1.01, I have gone so far as to remove anything not a physical drive from MountedDevices, and the Scsi port entries in my registry, and it still detects emulation. Any ideas?

(I just reinsert the info after I get done trying, so nothing breaks)

Smood47 12-11-2005 18:22

Can anyone on the boards run Path of Neo with the 1.01 patch installed using their backup? (via daemon, alcohol and sr7 or anti-blaxx) ? If so post how.

You cant yet, Latest Securom within the patch detects Anti-Blaxx 1.18, Daemon, Alcohol, SR7Stop, SD4Hide, Anti-Blahh and SFN methods.

ravid 12-11-2005 22:13

crap, are you know of any game who has this ver of secuROM?
maybe we can learn how to crack it from there.

THE LEGEND 12-11-2005 23:09

I have yet to confirm this, but there are 2 ways to make it work with the patch:

1) The more obvious method, and several users confirmed this to me. You just need to REBOOT after applying the patch. I know its dumb, but maybe you forgot to.

2) Before you patch the game, copy/backup the file MATRIX3W325.BIN. Then update the game and then overwrite the newer MATRIX3W325.BIN with the older file you previously backed up.

Try it and let me know.

1) Rebooting doesn't do anything.

2) Keeping that file does let you keep playing the game after you've patched it, but it seems that that file is the biggest change of the patch, as the game runs exactly the same as before the patch (still have textures turning white, black characters, framerate issues, etc) and the game still won't save control configs etc. etc. etc.

The old file is like 6 megs and the new one is 8 megs, so that's where a lot of the changes are kept. If you replace that file you might as well not even patch in the first place.

neongio 12-11-2005 23:42

solution of my problem
there was ANY DVD run in my taskbar every time when my winxp started
it is blacklisted and now without it all is ok
sorry sorry sorry

ravid 13-11-2005 03:24

I dont get it... do you play after the patch? how did you do that?

The file seems to be the one taking care of the virtual emulation protection, so that is what I suggested that.

Also, if you want your settings to get changed, its simple, locate the matrixconfig.ini file, right-click it and un-tick "read only". You'll be all set.

Smood47 13-11-2005 06:26

Could someone please post the unpatched .bin file because I Really don't want to reinstall my whole original. It took a long time.
You can post it www.yousendit.com... thanks a lot for saving me the hassel.

Thx man! What you mean still? Is there some solution out?

EDIT: I can confirm that this unpatched bin works with SR7 STOP + Daemon tools mounting (Daemon should be closed after mounting)

As I said.. that gets the game to run, but without any of the benefits of the patch.
