GT Legends ?

It is possible to play this one without DVD! It has SF 3.6

Muji-FightR 10-10-2005 08:45

Yep, with Daemon, SFCure and a good image with DPM, just use the search ;)

Joe Forster/STA 10-10-2005 09:03

According to Nforce, the game has been released two days ago so, probably, forum rule #6 applies here.

buLLiTbuZZtard 10-10-2005 09:25

Sorry i but i dont want a crack for this one because i want to play it online so i only want a safety copy to let my original without damages!

@muJi.fiGHt3r
Do you mean the same way like the way of SC? beacuse you cant use DT for that!

Muji-FightR 10-10-2005 11:38

1. Create a good image of the DVD using Alcohol 120%, use the StarForce3 profile and read with DPM at 1x speed, the rest can be read at 8x or higher
2. get a copy of sfcure/SFAFSB, use the search button
3. install SFCure
4. unplug your CD/DVD drives (ANY !) by taking off the power cable
5. mount the image with Daemon and install the game
6. start the game, it wants you to restart the PC, do so
7. start SFCure (just read the manual how to install and run it)
8. mount the image with daemon, activate RMPS emulation
9. run the game, should definetely work.

This way works with every SF3 game available, e.g SC3, Trackmania sunrise, Brothers in Arms 2, Panzers 2, ...

glenbo 10-10-2005 15:08

bit of a pain in the a$$ to do that evertime,i heard that daemon toolz 4 will run any starforce game from a good mini image mounted.

superfracazzone 16-10-2005 09:44

1. i got it
2. i got it
3. install stay for run !setup.bat? i do it
4. yes, before point 2 and 3 (problem with this?)
5. i do it
6. start the game, no request to restart..
7. start stay for run !start.bat? i do it
8. the image is already mounted with RMPS
9. run the game --> request key --> i give to it --> control disc failed

i tried to restart between point 6/7, no change..
i tried with daemon or alcohol (not both install together..), no change
i tried to not remove the power cable but using starforcenightmare, no change

pls help me
sry for bad english

weston 16-10-2005 11:08

You have to disable node with SFNightmare and physically disconnect CD/ DVD drives for it to work. ;)

superfracazzone 16-10-2005 13:08

when disable node and when take off the power cable? (take off the power cable means that computer is off..)

DABhand 16-10-2005 13:16

You can do either..

Use Starforce Nightmare to disable Node and Secondary IDE channel.

Try now

DUKE_NUKEM 16-10-2005 14:07

Oh my God, here we are again, talking about disabling\unplugging drives, hiding progs and so on.
As for GTR, I give up and wait for a REAL crack for this game. In the end, all protections will be bypassed (as it happened few days ago with Toca Race Driver 2).
Anyway, I hope Starforce 3.7 will not ask me to unplug my TV or anything else, I'm seriously thinking about coming back to console easy-gaming.
I am getting too old for this kind of things, you know... :D :D :D

weston 16-10-2005 14:16

You have to disable the DVD/CD drives (by removing ide cable usually- haven't tried the power connector) AND turn off node with SFN (which is not strong enough to bypass the new starforce on it's own). The computer , of course is still connected!

DABhand 16-10-2005 17:07

SFN has worked for me, no need to remove any power from the drives..

Removing power from the drives, just stops windows from picking them up on restart. Essentially when you disable the Secondary IDE channel, you are doing the same.

DUKE_NUKEM 16-10-2005 22:40

Weston, of course I was joking :D
But the problems are essentially 2:
1.I don't want to disassemble my pc any time I want to play (virtual cd hide and tetris are already too much for me!!!)
2.I have a laptop, so it's not so easy to unplug drives, at least for me.
No way, I'll leave my copy of GT legends on the shelf of the store (and buy F.E.A.R. instead ^^).

glenbo 17-10-2005 03:27

honestly though guys, whats more hassle...dismataling your pc and removing power cables blah blah or just insert a dvd in your drive.

bit of a no brainer.

weston 17-10-2005 09:30

Dabhand, I'm interested that you've got it to run with SFN. What did you disable? (I tried node, secondary, and then the individual drives but they were still detected).

Joe Forster/STA 17-10-2005 09:57

@weston: Read the info file included VERY carefully. If you miss one step, it won't work. Trust me, I intentionally left out one or two, and it didn't work; with all of them followed, it did.

ChaosTheory 17-10-2005 19:56

can i run this game on win media center and win Vista ?

glenbo 18-10-2005 04:23

you have vista???????? wtf?

ChaosTheory 18-10-2005 04:33

I don't have Vista.but vista is published in our country.:D
one more thing: what is wtf ?

Joe Forster/STA 18-10-2005 05:18

@ChaosTheory: Windows Vista is still in beta phase; if you bought it in a store, that's a pre-released pirated copy. As for WTF, it means What The F*ck (see http://www.acronymfinder.com for such acronyms).

Technically I disabled, node, secondary and ATA (I have SATA HD's) and mounted a full image of the disc with daemon.

But if you have IDE try some other proggies out there.

glenbo 18-10-2005 10:50

i want windows vista now! i have checked microsoft.com and apparantly you are not allowed beta 1 unless you are a designated beta tester,as i thought you would be able to download it liek you could windows 64 gold (trial version)

:( i wanted to put it on my other hard drive,so i didnt have to use it as a full operating system and just as a optional one.

Eagle-666 19-10-2005 14:44

do you not have a no dvd crack or image?

is it so difficult to crack a game with starforce protection?

Schhhh 21-10-2005 04:02

I didn't got it to work with just SFN, I had to use StarF..k 0.83 also.
I use Alcohol 120% with RPMS option checked. Tried with Daemon but
with no success.

1. You must have Windows XP with SP2 in order of playing xxxxxxx!?
2. IDE PCI Controller Drivers MUST be OS STANDARD IDE PCI Drivers!?
3. Unpack file sfcure01 that's in tools.rar and launch file !setup.bat
through MS-Dos Prompt and reboot your box.
4. If u have AMD64, then use sfcure_x64 that works same way as the other.
5. Check if all option of Daemon or Alcohol are activated especially
RMPS option.
6. Mount Alcohol 120% img and install the game.
7. Once installation is complete, launch sfdrup.exe to update
StarForce3 drivers and reboot the box.
8. Launch through MS-Dos Prompt the file !start.bat that's in the
unpacked file sfcure01.
9. Unpack file sfn.rar e launch sfn.exe (StarForce Nightmare 1.12)
10 Select in this order "Disable node" , "Disable CD" , "Disable node" , and
the IDE channel you use for real CD/DVD units (Pr. Slave , Sc. Master o
Sc. Slave ) , depending on how your IDE units are connected
11. Launch the game.
12. Play.

Try this if above fails, you must have gone through step 1 to 9 first:

Do it in this order:
1. First of all, mount the image with Alcohol 120%

2. Run StarF..k and select StarForce x.x.x.x and then disable CD Roms
(keep the program running)

3. Then run SFNightmare, disable CD, disable Node, disable Channel
(keep the program running)

Run game, if it doesn't work try with SFN again (No need to restart SFN) Maybe change disabling order.

GL! :)

I gave it a shot, it beat me :( Im running on Windows 2003 Server, so perhaps the fault sits there. But i followed the instructions given, and i still cant play! The best i got, was burning it to DVD then giving me CD error, now all i get, is a small freeze/high cpu usage at the beginning of the checking process gets half way through and bombs out. If anyone still has any suggestions

Ive disconnected my drive, disabled node, and CD, run the sfcure01 driver, still no sucess. My OS is also unpatched.

-
Updated i got it working :

I patched my OS (2003 Server) to SP1 - Used SFCURE01 + 2003 NODE Tool that some geezer made, works a charm! + Alchol 120%

Your not missing anything really.

Its buggy.

Its got a ****ty see through toolbar (frosty type of glass)

And dont forget the horrible looking IE7

leezer3 22-10-2005 01:46

Ditto that :(
The see-through Window titles make me seasick  (Need a vomit emoticon!)
Anyway, anything remotely interesting is still disabled.

Cheers

Problem with gt legends key

I do as posted but sf still says that i have wrong cd key? What went wrong?

HarryHoden 22-10-2005 13:14

same here... tried all here named possibilties but still no luck... cd key error eventhough i tried the key that came with it... searched all over the internet and everyone is using the same key. doesnt seem to work for me :(

inflatedcow 23-10-2005 01:45

Ok i think, dont quote me on it, but your copy of Windows needs to be patched/upgraded to the latest service pack!

All i did was the following
*** PATCHED MY WINDOWS TO SP1 (Was unpatched, didnt work) ***
1. Unplug the data cable to your CD+DVD's (Power might work, but dont count on it)
2. Install sfcure01 (use the instructions given)
3. Mount the image with Alcohol 120% (DTOOLS Might work ,not tried it)
4. Install the game with the mounted image
5. Disable NODES (I used Win2k3NodeDisabler, because i run Win2003, SFNightmare might do the job, but i think Win2k3NodeDisabler works with XP also)
6. Start SFCURE01 (!start.bat)
7. Run the game.

SFCURE01 needs to be launched each time you wish to run the game, or each time its been stopped (i.e : pc restarted etc, unless you set it to auto start)

Give that a bash!
P.S : I had wrong cd key error  , patch your Windows to the latest ServicePack!

If you successfully get it running beacuse you've patched your Windows, then please post back to let me know, to rule out the possibility of it being a fluke on my behalf!

HarryHoden 23-10-2005 15:44

I have win xp sp2 so my windows is patched... but thanks... ive tried everything mentioned in any combination but i always get that damn cd key problem...

Does it take a while before it says this problem? 'Checking CD.....' how long does that process take? A minute? Two? If so, then you've done something wrong, perhaps you didnt install SFCURE correctly, or NODE disbale wasnt properly done (Have you tried Win2k3NodeDisabler?) - In SFNightmare disable, CD, NODE, and the channel your CD/DVD is on (Also unplug it completly) Its pretty crap just to play a backup of a copy you LEGALLY own. But im not risking scratching my disks up!

HarryHoden 24-10-2005 04:07

it takes ages checking. at least 2 minutes if not longer. I did try that win2k3nodedisabler. I opened my pc and one cd rom was only power unpluged. unpluged it completly and still not better. I have 2 cdrom in my computer but they are disconected all the time i only use a external usb cd/dvd writer. Im using sfcure but im not sure what u mean when u say maybe i didnt install it correctly. is there anything one can do wrong? !setup reboot !start. I use nichtmare disable cd, node use sfcure and win2k3nodedisable then start game...

Appl3.Pi3! 24-10-2005 05:17

damn i've the same problem....i did all steps in any order...i unplugged both cdplayers...i start the game and it takes 3/4 minutes and then...wrong cd-key....this evening i try with w2k3nodedisabler :(

SteGER 24-10-2005 05:37

read alot about starforce and stuff...so i tried to play gt legends without my orig dvd. a friend did it with an extern usb-drive, but i got none.

i unplugged my dvd-rom (power and IDE), disabled my Secondary Master with SFNightmare. Disabled Node with Win2k3NodeDisabler (tried with SFN too!). installed SFCure and ran it. Started the game, but got the Key-Problem too. :(

Sirrus 24-10-2005 07:42

i don't understand why are you trying to play your GT Legends game with a "copied image or cd" instead of your "purchased original copy"!?

everyone here acts like he/she has the original game and trying to find a way to play the game without the original cd because "he/she doesn't want the original cd used or scratched..." I call this BS!

Who (that have the original game) wants to play a game like an idiot with disabling power cables and does lots of tricks to bypass the protection because of loving his/her original cd!???! is your original CD (or DVD) really so important that to prevent your accessibility to your computer?

A standard gamer can finish the game by playing in 1 week and then put the cd with its case on shelf. And 1 week of usage of a cd doesn't make it break (you're welcome) So why bother that much?

Everyone here is owner of the original games, why are you so curious about cracking the copy protection system? it is weird, isn't it?

And the ones who doesn't make gt legends run; :D
After unplugging your media drivers use SFnightmare with following order: disable node, disable cd, disable node... that's all you need to disable.

if it doesn't work, check your image file... anyway Rpms must be on, if you're a "licensed" alcohol %120 user ;)

SteGER 25-10-2005 05:33

ok, i got it.

1. You must have Windows XP with SP2. Don#t know if it works on other systems.
2. IDE PCI Controller Drivers MUST be OS STANDARD IDE PCI Drivers.
3. Unpack SFCure and launch file !setup.bat an reboot.
4. If u have AMD64, then use sfcure_x64 that works same way as the other.
5. Check if all option of Daemon or Alcohol are activated especially
RMPS option.
6. Mount Alcohol 120% img and install the game.
8. Launch the file !start.bat that's in SFCure.
9. launch StarForce Nightmare 1.12
10 Select in this order "Disable node" , "Disable CD" , "Disable node" , and
the IDE channel you use for real CD/DVD units (Pr. Slave , Sc. Master o Sc.Slave), depending on how your IDE units are connected
11. Launch the game and type in the serial.
12. Play.

worked for me. i took the *.mds-File from http://www.copybase.ch
go to "datenbank" an search for GT Legends. "Show DPM-Data" an take the second one.

glenbo 25-10-2005 05:50

lmfao or just plop your disc in the drive.

i mean come on lol.

DeDouwes 25-10-2005 07:01

Over here i tried all the ways of installing this game. and none of them were working.
Even the MDS file of copybase.ch didn't work
I still have the Error when starting the game.
Anyone got a solution?????
