Sonic Heroes PC NOCD...?
 

Just bought Sonic Heroes 2 wks ago for my PC - have checked Gamefix, Megagames, and GameCopyWorld - no such luck...

Is anybody working on one - my DVD player is old and would rather play from computer (just using for install purposes)....?

Also - do not like my 9 year daughter playing with DVD player - better for her to just click and play...

You can use Protection ID (http://pid.gamecopyworld.com/) to scan the game.

u need the original discs


1st use the latest version of Clone CD avaliable at http://www.slysoft.com/

Insert CD2 in drive

use the option "write TO image file" and choose the option "protected PC game" in order for the weak sectors (safedisc 4) to be copied too

now you have an image of disc 2 that can be used to run the game, but it is too big to send to everyone all over again.

hence use the tiny image creator found at the link

to convert that Clone CD image into a tiny image containign JUST the security info (usually 23 megs)

mount the image in a virtual daemon drive and the game should rn

The Reloaded fixed exe worked fine for me, you need cd2 to play as it's not a no cd and it may look like it's not working but give it a few seconds and the game start and plays fine.

I know...I own the game - but the point for using the NOCD exe is to not use cd....I don't want my daughter playing with drive....

What's the point of using a "fixed exe" and still need cd2 when I can play Sonic Heroes w/cd2 anyways.....the point of having a NOCD is to play it without a cd - right? So according to earlier posts we know it is Safedisc 4 - but has anyone figured it out yet cause the 2 posted at GameCopyWorld do not work.......:)

There you go! Here's a tiny patch I did to remove the CD-Check from the Reloaded release.
You will need a IPS Patcher...
unzip the nocd.zip file to a dir were you have the RELOADED exe file.
Run the IPS patcher, load the tsonic_win.exe file and the NOCD.IPS.. Hit Apply (or something like it) in your IPS Patcher. Pronto!
Play Sonic Heroes without any CD in the drive ;)

Also - what kind of file is it that I downloaded from you - my computer doesn't seem to recognize it...?

Thanx - already got it - and working... (finally realized that IPS patcher was only turning up Macintosh links - so used IPSWin in Google)
