INFINITY MANAGER with Firmware Upgrade V1.21 - 05/08/2004(DOWNLOAD NOW)
Release 1.01b of the Infinity Manager and V1.21 of Firmware:
- Files already in Bin/Cue format and ready to be burned to CD.
- Fixed DVD VIDEO autoboot problem for some V4/V5 Ps2.
This upgrade should be used only by the people who have problem with the DVD video Autoboot feature on their PS2.

Yeah this has been out for a little while now. I have used it on a V5 that was having trouble auto detecting DVD movies and it worked wonders. However if you dont have a V4 or V5 there is no need to upgrade and if you do have a V4 or V5 and arent having this problem dont upgrade either.

I am having trouble with my v10 PS2 w/Infinity v1.2 not picking up some CD based backups....one was a DVDrip and the other was a fullCD but when i put the CD in it makes the PSX boot sound and the screen gets all pixilated, and mashed up and freezes...i have tried this on different types of medis and to no avail.

Could it be the chip? I have only had it a couple of months or so... :confused:

who gives a toss about 1.21 - what about 1.3?

How to install the Infinity Manager Applications?
 

Does any one know how to set up the CD for the Infinity Manager Applications?
What program is good to make the cd?

How do make the the application CD? Do you just burn the cnf file? or do u have to add commands or anything.If so what commands and how do you do make those commands is there a special program or do I just make it? I already made installed the Infinity Manager v1.21 on my Matrix chip, but I can't load the applications into the manager because I can't make the CD pls help. :)

Just load the bin/cue in CDRWIN, not too hard

I already loaded the Infinity Manager and that was in bin/cue. The applications are in a .cnf format and I read the installing readme file on how to install the applications to the infininty manager and it said to use the appropriate commands to make a cd and I don't know how to and what to put for those commands and if there is a program to make those commands to load the applications like the media player to the infinity manager.

Oh I see what you mean now. Well you can create your own .cnf file with note pad then just rename the file extension to .cnf or use cdgenPS2 just put the .elf files and whatever else you want to use and cdgenPS2 will creat the .cnf. Some apps need specific .cnf's but with out knowing what you are doing this is the best I can tell you.

Well the Infinity Manager v1.21 download already came with the .cnf files im suppose to add other commands to it. Do you know what it is? And also can u patch games to play online, if so how? Sorry I have so much questions and such little knowledge of this..I appreciate it greatly for helping me out.

No you have it all wrong. If you have installed the mem manager to the memcard already you simply boot the PS2 to dev mode by holding triangle while booting. Then you will see the mem manger pop up and then you can select to install an app. You then burn your app with a .elf, .cnf and whatever else to a new CD-R then before you hit install from the mem manger you put in the CD-R you just burned then hit install and it will copy the files to your memory card. Then take the disc out and reboot to dev mod again then you can chose the app from a list of installed apps.

As for DNAS patching check out www.ps2nfo.com you wont get much support here.

Does any one know what the SNES station and PGEN applications do, it came with the download for the Infinity Manager.

They are both emu's. The strange thing is that the official flash upgrade that you can download from the Matrix website doesnt come with them, where did you download yours from?

Well i downloaded it from the infinitymod website. It was in the scripts folder after i unzipped it, it had a media player and pgen and snes station in seperate folder and it had install.cnf files.

hello, am new here and I saw ur posts.

I have installed a matrix infinity chip 2 days ago very happy.

but when I press and hold start to disable the chip..the screen freezes and does not continue the game.

when I press reset afterwards I see the playstation logo, but it does NOT say matrix infinity v1.2...

any thoughts ?

(and it was a good idea to put the chip VERY close 2 the ground an 3.3 volt with a thick wire (0.5 mm), I had the same problem, after I did this, it worked great!)
