viperspit01 19-08-2004 04:58

the devolopers of staforce sound like a bunch of tossers, they contradict themselves a couple olf times...

To remain effective, we constantly monitor the crack sites and when a game is cracked we study it and modify our code if needed, small fixes are often done weekly and major fixes perhaps monthly. It depends on the circumstances.
hmmmm

ByteMare 19-08-2004 07:20

Wonder what sites that could be?

ultimately gcw is helping starforce become better! :p

crnelyone 19-08-2004 08:10

yeah maybe that's why cracking groups keep their starforce cracks internal cuz they dont want any better starforce???

anyway u cant say gcw is the problem....
either u want cracks for the whole world (which means also for anticrack software authors) or just for 10people on the world....

u have to make the decision....

and it seems like cracking groups decided to keep their cracks...

And hey: Thats ok. its their good right.
If we want to play without cd we can just try to learn cracking and do it on our own..... its just a hard thing... but we are all just humans and so we all can do cracks for starforce ;-)

Luciel 19-08-2004 08:49

I dont think cracking groups keep them for themselfs the only reason they do it is to give it to the public and become more famous its all about the Infamy. Wether they send it to gcw directly or someone else that got it from them does is a different subject.

viperspit01 19-08-2004 21:47

i think its quite ironic thats this interview came out, and now the first sf3 game has been creacked (killswitch)

so now officially one group (reloaded) can cradk it, vengeance even tried to steal thiere crack.

This is not the first sf3 game to be cracked, and it was an old version of sf3 on killswitch.
So don't get ur hopes up just yet :(

viperspit01 20-08-2004 01:21

Im not getting my hopes up really, i dont really play games as much anymore, and the ones i do play are not protected with sf3

all I know is that out there thiesr is some very smart person who knows what they are doing, and is very good at reversing code one person out of hundred, cracking starforcre3 is almost like hacking into the fbi mainframe or whatever it is

and anyway it does not matter if it is only v1.0 that has been cracked, as long as its been cracked then people can back thier games up and protect them from damage who cares if patch updates with sf3 are not cracked

Luciel 20-08-2004 06:21

erm i dont think u can quite compare it to hacking into fbi mainframe, ok ur missing a point here. Its not about how difficult it is to crack m8, its about HOW LONG it takes.

Well the host forgot to ask one important question! Why the hell can't StarForce work with AMD K6 processors?! Those who bought Black Mirror were cheesed off!

viperspit01 20-08-2004 09:07

it was just a joke Luc

ash2dust2 20-08-2004 11:09

We should start compiling email addresses so when can forward people to the proper help.

"Abbie Sommer: If a gamer buys a game and has difficulty getting it to run, they should contact the publisher and provide as many details as possible up front in the initial email. If the problem has anything to do with our copy protection and a publisher's support team can’t solve it, we freely give advice and try to work out their problem, often working directly with the end-user to speed up the process."
