help to mod my xbox
 

i tried to mod my xbox but nothing to do.

first i can't flash the bios, i had to try 3 different pcs to finally did it.
and now that i've done it, i don't succeed to align the xbit because when i start my xbox, it steel start with the ms dashboard.

so, can someone help me to do the software modding or tell me where to find it?

What BIOS did you flash the X-B.I.T with?
The BIOS will boot to MS Dash any way, when your XBox boots up do you see "Microsoft" or some thing else?

i flashed the evox M7 bios and both the xecuter 4981.
and everytime my xbox boots up, there is nothing special. i still see "microsoft" written.
so...???

Have you tried booting up a backup of a game or a evox cd-dvd? Are you sure what kind of mb version you have? Because the d0 is not always on the smae place. B.t.w. Why do people buy this kind of modchips. I mean soldering a modchip is really not that difiicult. You just needs balls to do it for the first time. After soldering one you can mod a xbox even when your drunk.

if it doesnt do the three reboot thing..
then it may have been overheated..?

it does 3 reboots but finally the screen is black and the eject button flicks green and red.
i tried with evox bios : evox D.6.bin

it probably was a bad bios..
did u look at my sticky on top of the forum?

ok i just red your sticky. what i can about my case is that :

- with the chip, the box boots x3 and the flashes red and green,

- without the chip, the box boots normally!

so, i can definitively say that i have a wrong bios file.

but, i tried (it seems that i finally find a pc compatible with the xbit) with the evoxM7 bios, the xecuter 4981, and the last
evox D.6. is it possible that i had 3 wrong files???

can you, may be, tell me what is the best bios to put on the chip?

use xbins and get the 4981.06 if u have a drive less than 132 gigs

Maybe I`m wrong but I had a bad flash ones. And when I turned on the Xbox the eject button was flikkering green. Not green-red but only green. When I turned on the xbx without the modchip it booted fine. Can you take out the bios chip on the mod? I use the alladin advance. I can flip out the bios. I solved the problem this way. Take a modded xbox. Boot up the xbox with the chip. When you loaded evox for flashing. Switch the bios chip with the bad one and flash it. This way the evox copies the bios to the chip and you can put the bios chip back on your mod with a good working bios.

so,

i flashed the xbit with 4981, but the box continues to boot x3 and then the eject button flashes green and red.

but there's another prob : now when i boot the box without the chip, it boots normally at 1st, and at a moment i can read : "assistance required". i think i broke the box because i made fall my screwdriver....?

do you think my box is definitively broken ?

Can you make a digital photo of the flace where you think you broke you xbox`s MB and send it to me on msn? Then I can tell you if your xbox can be repaired. Make sure you use a high resolution photo and zoom in. my email is pbeumer2001**********com. You can also send a e-mail with the photo if you don`t have msn.
