BF1942 1.4 Crack Thread - Do Not Create New Threads
 

I have seen that many people are wondering the "Data diffrent" error message in Bf1942.
Elkan was early with a releas of a Working crack.

But everyone didn't notice that one!

So I have created a smaller crack! Base on Elkan, GiMPRUS and Fairlight.
(Note: The original crack by Elkan, was about 6MB the new one is about 32kb....yeah!)

It's patch the .exe file so you can run the game with out CD and with out "Data Diffrent".

Here are some instructions...

1. Install BF1942
2. Patch to version 1.4
3. Extract all files in this archive to your BF-folder. (folder-structure already set)
4. Make a copy of BF1942.exe
5. Rename the copy BF1942.exe to BF1943.exe
6. Open the Original BF1942.exe with this patch!

Sorry for Fairlight and GiMPRUS that I didn't include yours .nfo files. But I did write that you 2 did much work!

Edit: This doese not fix the "moding problem". My suggestion is that...CDkiller or someone...that have Unwarper for SafeDisc 2.8 can test to extract the mod.dll file.....:rolleyes:

I'll sticky this for the next few days....Just hope this thread doesnt flop like the 'Official' WarCraft III thread...;)

Erm, does this crack let you switch between mods without a crash?
DATA DIFFERENT problem was fixed quite some time ago, or so said the README files.

Do you know why?
becuase Fairlight did the mod.dll file... and doese only contains the only neacysairy to start the game....
A tip is to look at Road To rome shortcut... then you know the parameters to run the mod ;)

you will also get this, if you have modded your version of bf (e.g. Merciless 4 etc.) and are trying to connect to a pure (=cheat protection) server.

Yes, when you start a mod or expansion - use a proper shortcut.
Still, I think someone has to make a good crack that allows you to switch from mod to mod in the game!

I think its safe to say this thread went in the same direction as the WarCraft....

Its only really worth creating these types of threads when a patch has been released. I know now, there wasnt a patch released for this game this week...

Yepp and I have submited the crack to GCW... so hopefully...people wont ask...for the Multiplayer fix...(that's was created by Elkan)...

Problem: Try and load a mod from the "Custom Game" menu, and you crash to your windows desktop.

Answer: You can directly load mods, with BF's own syntax.
just use "+game modfoldernamehere"

As an easier method, there's a handy utility called "Mod Chooser" which just automates this process.

All Seeing Eye seems good though, for 21-days :mad: .

a) Great...so YOU knew...and it was vaguely mentioned. Were instructions posted on how to do it? No.

b) Mod chooser links work fine. Try again. And don't use leeching download managers.

c) ASE 21 day trial is a farse. They encourage you to register, but it's fully functional without registering, and doesn't expire.

You'll get a friendly window asking if your interested in registering every once in awhile after the 21 days.

Well, it's actually every week and every time you use the scanner server and it's maxed out (subscribers get higher priority of course).

Huh? What is maxed out?

scanner = a dedicated server for scanning (getting additional info like map playing, number of players etc) game servers. Very handy for the 20000+ servers of counterstrike, which will otherwise take a LONG time to scan... Trust me, you will encounter this message soon enough since the UDPsoft scanner is enabled by default

If its "maxed out", you'll scan all the available servers from your end. Its nice when its not maxed out and you can download all the info from UDPsoft. But pay for a reg and you'll get priority. Either way, its way more reliable in ping time reporting. It puts Gay_mespy to shame in many ways.

Yeap, I already encountered the message, no bigie though!
Now I don't have to have a shortcut on my desktop for any multiplayer game I have except for Half-Life.
For Half-Life to work properly, it has to start with -32bpp setting (command line in the shortcut) - so that I can get AA/AF with my Radeon 9700 Pro, and All Seeing Eye does not do that.

The 71k crack at GCW working fine for me. Everyone can join my server. But it doesnt show up at EA serverlist or BFStats.
I mapped port: 14567, 22000, 23000-23009, 27900 and 28900 in the router. It worked before but not any longer.

Does anyone else have same problem?

Hmm....the 71Kb crack does NOT work for me, and it has something to do with CD-KEY thing, so thats why it won't show up on any servers!

Is other servers using that crack listed at EA ?

No-no, I do NOT have CD-KEY problems, and never did - I BOUGHT the darn game, I am just saying that I did hear that 71Kb cracks allows people with illegal keys to play on ANY servers, so I thought that MAYBE this is related to the issue...

I am using a totally different crack, I acctually took a few, and combined them, and its the only one that works!

Unbuyed CDkey = BAD CDKEY! = CDKEY PROBLEM! = WAREZ = Don't want it here! ;)

Just so everone know...sorry for saying this, cus of not talking about non-working-cd-keys. Well I have a real cd key but a copied game and I use the:
BF1942 v1.4 SP/MP [ENGLISH] No-CD/Fixed EXE, crack from "Overkill". And it works just fine for me. I can connect to all servers, but never tried to host one myself.

My friends with a fake cd-key can still only connect to linux-servers, with the same crack.

I use the one form Overkill at http://www.gamecopyworld.com/game_index.htm

And I´ve noticed that everytime I switch server the game craches. So now I use The All Seeing Eye to find servers. It has a way of finding better servers than the serverlist in the game.


I think thats the way It gonna be. A Real Cd Key to make it all work.
Fake keys have to stick to linuxservers i guess. Maybe Im wrong, but everyone I´ve talked to with fake keys have to stick to linux-servers...

I did what the instructions said, and it didn't work. The problem might be my RAR file from GCW. When it opens it gives all the failed diagnostic reports. Any suggestions???
