clony xl new version
 

well ms the new version is german and someone has to translte it to english...i want to ask anybody who can do it to do it and upload the file on the wed so everyone can get it...i would do it but i don't speak german!!!

The version I have got has a (sort of) English translation txt file with it.
Have u not got this. If not I can mail it to u.
Other than this, it will need the creator to make an English version of the program itself.
Or is that wot u meant in the first place?

BxxxxxJ said he will make an English version when he has finished the Beta stages of Clony XXL. At the moment he has released the final Beta version (Beta E i thnk) so we should be looking forward to him releasing the English version soon :)

There's a new version of the English Clony XXL - it ISN'T the official one - but it has more things traslated than the last English one.

This one is 99% English.

i didnt like it. it did not get securom new on d2 with extended scan.

hey,clony just gives the best copy options that work with most burners when copying some specific copy protected games....clony has nothing to do with this,this way you mean that it was a clony problem when there hasn.t been an amplify weak sectors option and clone cd couldn't copy the sd2 protacted games.....this is insame m8...

have you tried with an older clony? and have you tried with it installed and then take the cd out?

ok, you confused me packer. im going to do it now. clonyxxl 2.0.0.2 beta (english) is installed

ok, finally got clony to detect it. it displays it as securom alt. i had to make it scan the diablo2 installation directory on my hard drive to find it. i thought clony could just scan the cd to find it. it HAD to be pointed to the install directory, it could not just find it on its own. i don't know. it is pretty hidden.

i would be a lot happier with clony if i used it more, i guess. since i know how often i buy cd's, and i am already positive the next new pc cdrom i'm going to get is warcraft 3 (drooools), i dont need to know what protections are on my cd's. silly college kids cant afford new games all the time. hell, i dont have enough time to get good at the ones i have. i've had civilization 3 since it came out, and i've finished 3 games. (clony did read it as safedisc 2 :) )

until all game manufacturers go the way of virgin, offering manuals on cd's, game's packaged in dvd cases, and the kicker, ALL TITLES 20 $, im waiting for warcraft. sorry bout the rant, im sleepy.

i just wish clony checked the files itself. i woulda just been angry @ it if packer hadnt challenged me (i perceived it as a challenge ;) ).

the capabilities of the writer shouldnt have to do with detecting the protection, they should come up in reading/burning it, right? im tired, themis confused me. i get confused a lot on wednesdays.

Anywhat i was trying to say is that ti recognize securom 2 you need to more things than just scan the cd.......so,i see you have found out! :)

ahhh, here i thought that since securom needed the extra sectors ticked, that the protection was actually somehow inside those. what an ass i can be ;)

hey,don't worry...hey guys i want to report something,today i tried to copy the harry poter game for psx but it was ntsc....i used clony xxl just for being sure and...surprise it didn't recognise the protection(psx/lybcript)but when i used the older clony xl it recognised the protections...i don't know what happened but i tried to scan the cd again but still don't get the psx/lybcript options from the latest clony .....

is it the same way with securom ? then i'd feel a little better.

Yea, sometimes neither of the Clony's recognise some protections for me - for example Commandos 2 (SD2) came up as no protection. There are a few more that were like this for me (can't remember off the top of my head).

I've just tried uploading it to this board but didn't work for some reason (even though it's in .zip format) so I've upped it to a personal website on tripod (it's from a site I had to do for courswork - made in Notepad - crap). There won't be much bandwidth to this but it'll do for now.
