Patching import (Winning Eleven 6) with english patch????
 

i need helping Patching Winning Eleven 6 with the English patch:

I have:
the bin
the cue
the patch
ppf o matic v3

now can someone tell me what to do now...i know ,i know newbie stuff right?? well i missed class on that day

it seems peeps here are patching the game some weird *** ways like using burning programs to patch the game!!!!...which way should i do it??? this just throws me totally off. i just want to patch play but never doing this let alone every really playing a copy of a import on my ps2 ..im at a loss and totally out of my element.....

i just need steps on how to apply the patch to the bin that i have...

with what i have...

i have cdrwin...(doesnt seem to work for burning my games)
cd clone ( never used it for games but really good for vcd's)
fireburner( the last burning program you'll ever need works great for me!!)
ppf o matic v3 ( still dont know what this does)
Winning Eleven Bin( just got it last nite)
Cue (duh!)

I am also having problems but I have only really tested one copy, as I am waiting to get my PS2 back from a mate, but my first attempt failed, most probably due to poor quality disc.

You may be doing the process correct, however after applying the patch with ppfomatic3 tou must regenerate the image using ECCRegen (tutorial and download at http://web.tiscali.it/eccregen/usage.htm), this process is very straight foward.

open ppf-o-matic
load bin in bin box
load patch in patch box
click apply
burn bin with CRWin

you can view the full patching tutorial at http://www.megagames.com/psx/psx_patches.shtml (under the psx section I know but it is the same process involved.

I followed this tutorial and had no problems whatsoever.

worth noting eecregen advice some people need to do this depending on there setup

yup ...it worked Paul. just inserted the patch with ppf o matic v3

and burned with fireburner(cdrwin doesnt seem to work for me)

anyway make the game so much better now !!!!!

I'm new here. But just wanted to say, this game rocks, even better with the english translation patch.

If anyone wasn't aware, there are two english translation patches available. The patch from

is the latest version.

:o weel its not hat hard u just use ppf'omatic to apply the patch then record the backup at 2x then the game works like a charm... i did it this way and had no problems..

i know the audio cannot be changed. but the names?

You can edit the names yourselfs ist a job but you can get all the names at http://isweb15.infoseek.co.jp/play/we5/6name/

Its worth the effort goes this is the best footie game at the moment. Create youre own team and go to level 5 its really great

pro evo 2 is out shortly.......

Does anyone knows if their are any changes made in pro evo 2 or is it exactly the same as winningeleven 6.

yes there are some cosmetic changes so I am aware, for example Ronaldo's character now has his new haircut etc.

play wise I expect that it will be the same

i had hope that you could play in season mode with 2 players or more with different teams. But it will propebly never happen the only game who has it was sensible soccer

Kaffermike, i tried to edit the names of the players and the fields to change to still shows japanese. any patch out there that will show the all in english? i don't editing them myself but i need some english in the change text.

Than youre doing something wrong or you edit them all the way and save it later or you insert a new player and save it than.

It works goes i edit all my players. After editing go back to the main edit screen and it will save automatically

the saving works..
but the characters are all in jap..

The thing is, when i choose edit player..

the new options are all in japanese.. meaning the characters that i replace with..

so no matter how i change it, it will be in japanese..

which patch did u use?? maybe i shld try another patch that change the characters giving it alpabets instead of jap.

help truely appreciated..
