No:(, without MP the size is around 5 gb, with biks (Good Quality) re-sampled ~ 4.8 gb :D

morbidoso88 22-11-2012 12:56

I deleted the files inside the folder support, can you tell me what are they? thanks in advance

elbubi 22-11-2012 13:58

Thanks for the answer Peter! Have you by chance tested with more than 1 language? I LOVE AC with italian voices, but I would like to burn it with spanish files also for the friends...

Kindest Regards as always!!!

No:(, the Data2 wouldn't fit on 1st dvd, this AC is a huge game (>15 gb)!.

You could do both italian (for u) & spanish (for friends) conversion :eek::D

Remove only the files in sounddata folders (sounds_*.pck), no need to delete the files in support folder.

Simple, copy all installation archives on one DVD9

The DVD9 structure should be like this:

Code:

Support
Autorun.exe
Data1.bin
Data2.bin
Data3.bin
Data4.bin
Data5.bin
Data6.bin
Setup.exe
autorun.inf

Brazilica 23-11-2012 04:07

I try it your compression method and my created CI from Yener source(THX Yener)
but on Data3.bin (4,5 too) got error NOT A SREP COMPRESED FILE(or something like that)
I taked arc.ini from your conversion and put in Setup.cab
My Setup.ini looks like this
Quote:

PrecompVer=inside
[...]
[ExtractSettings]
FreeArcFile1={src}\Data1.bin;DestDir:{app};Disk:1
FreeArcFile2={src}\Data2.bin;DestDir:{app};Disk:1
FreeArcFile3={src}\Data3.bin;DestDir:{app};Disk:1
FreeArcFile4={src}\Data4.bin;DestDir:{app};Disk:1
FreeArcFile5={src}\Data5.bin;DestDir:{app};Disk:1
Its something wrong?
Or send your setup.ini peter gonna be faster :P

Which setup.ini you talking about?:confused:

My script doesn't use any setup.ini, maybe you need to update the script at latest FreeArc.

mikey26 23-11-2012 11:04

the reason u getting any error with this coversion is cause peter used xdelta in his compression and i dont think yeners script supports xdelta and exe2 look at the compress.bat from peter's conversion. this is wat i see just looking at it i could be wrg.

peterf1999 23-11-2012 12:39

* fixed missing auto installation of Visual c++ runtime and punkbuster malformed path.

Use the new Setup.exe, take it from 1st post.

Note:
to launch the autorun.exe automatically after successfully completed installation, put it also on Disk2

MP+3 audio languages, it's impossible!:D

elbubi 24-11-2012 04:40

No kidding! :D

This is my game folder structure of installed conversion:

http://i.imgur.com/wwcDp.jpg

It is the same one to original installation after deleting unwanted language files (all but eng, spa, ita in both folders, sp and mp)

Am I doing something wrong? :confused:

Cheers!!!

silverdoe 24-11-2012 04:52

Disk 1 with Support folder is over a DVD5 at 4504.5MB

Weird, do you have a standard edition version?

However, use this compact version of DirectX.

Delete all files in Support\DirectX folder and then extract the archive contents in it

:confused:weird,for me and other users it doesn't crash!

Edit the following row (Compress.bat, changes in red) :

Code:

arc a -ep1 -r -w.\ -s -mprecomp:t-pjnf:zl41,54,63,64,65,85,86:d0+srep+exe2+delta+lzma:a1:mfbt4:d158m:fb273:mc1000:lc8 -dp"%choice1%" [email protected] .\AC3\Disk1\%arc%
Delete Only Data4.bin from AC3_2DVD5\AC3\Disk1 and then launch Compress.bat

If precomp still crashes (weird), don't use it :

Code:

arc a -ep1 -r -w.\ -s -msrep+exe2+delta+lzma:a1:mfbt4:d158m:fb273:mc1000:lc8 -dp"%choice1%" [email protected] .\AC3\Disk1\%arc%

Adhays 27-11-2012 02:05

Working with perfect....100% without error....
using

Code:
arc a -ep1 -r -w.\ -s -mprecomp:t-pjnf:zl41,54,63,64,65,85,86:d0+srep+exe2+delta+lzm a:a1:mfbt4:d158m:fb273:mc1000:lc8 -dp"%choice1%" [email protected] .\AC3\Disk1\%arc%

Thanks again peter .... GBU

Before the conversion:

Code:

Put empty archive file in AC3_2DVD5\AC3\Disk2 folder and then launch Compress.bat.
After the conversion:

Code:

Replace Data6.bin file with empty archive.
Compression time: 2-3 hours (Compression speed strongly depends from CPU and RAM)

Installation time: ~ 15 minutes

vasu001 28-11-2012 06:24

Peter can you share with us (me) installer script from this conversion?
or maybe someon can share with edited CI from yener with xdelta compression?

Code:

delta+exe2=delta compression+dispack compression

XDelta= delta encoding, which generates two file differences

I never used XDelta encoding in my conversion, because there was no need.

The issue can be solved using the latest version of unarc.dll.
