ztool stucks for me (it doesn't proceed further). I think on one of the following files: cas_14, cas_15 or cas_16.

Not sure.

oltjon 11-03-2018 12:56

new version of RAZOR 1.03.6

darkwolves 11-03-2018 20:52

just used lolz on need for speed payback instead of lzma settings i used before it was only a half a gig in compression difference

plz4+srep+lolz:mc1023:fba4096:bc8:blr8:bm8h14c4:mt t0:mt2:d256m

i found 1 file in the patch folder for payback makes plz 4 lockup remove it from there and it will precompress file name and path posted below
C:\Users\Wolf\Desktop\Need for Speed Payback\Patch\Win32\configurations\streaminginstal lpackage\cas_01.cas
this is why i use 3 data files most of the time because some things i can only srep etc

as for Ztools the version found in ultraarc 2801

i am new to lolz so i do not know much about it

plz4 i use uploaded threw in the pzlib ccommands and dll files too

FIFA 18

srep+lzma => 29.2 GB (31.389.142.050 Bytes)
poodle+srep+lzma => 26.0 GB (27.952.059.040 Bytes)

I've expected more from poodle :(

Yes with oodle compression.

hmmmm perhaps try noodle

i don't really know i do not have the game its not my thing lol

http://www.fileforums.com/showthread.php?t=99270

the game file scanner razor made if it has lz4 streams it should find them

KaktoR 12-03-2018 04:12

I'm not that dumb. Have already checked. I do it with every game i would like to compress.

Another indicator for oodle are the following files present in game folder:
oo2core_4_win64.dll
oo2ext_4_win64.dll

This means oodle compression.

For example Shadow of War uses a newer version of oodle which poodle can't precompress (same goes for wolfenstein 2 if i'm not mistaken).
oo2core_5_win64.dll
oo2ext_5_win64.dll

I can confirm that. ztool stucks on that file

Btw, maybe this helps a bit more

Only precompression

Well I think that game has been compressed using two compressors, oodle and zstd. Secondly, oodle was not perfected :)

Will try tomorrow with zstd instead of lzma and report back.

it probably won't work, pzstd didn't even work on FIFA 17, pretty much the only game that thing worked on was MEA

KaktoR 12-03-2018 12:27

There was another one after MEA where pzstd worked, i didn't remember which game.

update need for speed paypack

plz4+srep+lolz:mc1023:fba4096:bc8:blr8:bm8h14c:mt2 :d256m
on first 2 data files

srep+lolz:mc1023:fba4096:bc8:blr8:bm8h14c4:mt2:d25 6m
on third

make sure to move this file out of the plz4 folder or it will freeze
Patch\Win32\configurations\streaminginstallpackage \cas_01.cas

game size 27 gigabytes
repack size 14.5 gigabytes

Updated Index with more info, also pls just a note if you update older posts to include new info can you just give me a note so I can update Index as well, thx!

ZakirAhmad 12-03-2018 18:55

Mirror's edge 2008 GOG from 7.06 to 2.6GB

srep +exe2+delta+lolz on dlls exes txt etc files.
uelr+srep+lolz on upk fies (data files)
i used srep + lazma2 on sound files. But u can use oggre to get more compression(70 to 80 mbs more than mine).
But know that the extraction Speed of Oggre is slow.

lzma2 is best choice than lzma, u can use single thread while compressing (which increases ratio ) but u will get same decompression speed (around 50mbps on my system) which u get in multithreading.

ZakirAhmad 12-03-2018 21:53

COD Black Ops 11.22gb to 6.72Gb

on .iwd files used ztool's pzlib m2 + srep+ lolz
on .ff files used precomp038 srep lolz( pzlib doent work here)
sound files r wave files but msc doesnt work on them. used srep + lzma 2

darkwolves 13-03-2018 09:38

lolz

can anyone tell me how to get lolz to run multithreaded?
i don't know much about it since i just started using it

doofoo24 14-03-2018 06:32

Mass Effect 3 24.3gb to 8.46gb...
zlib+srep+lolz on tfc, pcc file only...
bpk on bik...
rest the files srep+lolz
*note you need to extract DLC FILE SFAR...

doofoo24 14-03-2018 14:51

gta iv complete edition 12.9GB
audio file srep+lolz...
you can use msc but i didn't see improve ratio...
movie bkp...
rest of the file zlib:max:c32m+srep:m3f:a2+lolz...

doofoo24 14-03-2018 15:01

*Wolfenstein The New Order & old blood i use srep+zstd for all file and bpk for bink video...
i found no significant different between lolz and zstd on these two game only 100 to 150mb improve lolz over zstd, since only srep i prefer zstd much faster in decompression ( only 128mb for ram with 1 thread decompresion speed around 400mb/s on normal ssd) and you can use multithreading for compression in zstd ver 1.3.3...

zstd setting for arc.ini

[External compressor:zstd]
header = 0
packcmd = zstd -22 --ultra -T8 <stdin> <stdout>

if you have cpu less than 8 thread and less than 16gb ram use T4
Wolfenstein The New Order size 37.6gb.
Wolfenstein old blood 31.4gb.
* note i removed menu_credits.bink...
installing time on normal SSD around 3-5 min...

JustFun 14-03-2018 15:45

@doofoo24 Can you pls share final size for Wolfenstein games?
BTW thanks a lot for sharing so much with community ;)

ZakirAhmad 14-03-2018 21:09

[QUOTE=doofoo24;469003]*Wolfenstein The New Order & old blood i use srep+zstd for all file and bpk for bink video...

this happened because lolz searches for texture headers and since wolfestain is already compressed (because of lz4 zstd etc). the headers might be corrupt which result in worst compression.
know that lolz compress a bit better than lzma on already compressed data or otherdata (sounds etc). the only one thing if u use lolz on files other than textures is good extraction speed.

if u ask me 'i never use lolz on files other than textures(that too precompressed). Even rz beats lolz on general data. but in precompressed textures lolz is the winner.

i am still trying to figure out how to multi thread lolz i can do it with lzma and lzma2 but not lolz.....

ZakirAhmad 15-03-2018 22:25

@darkwolves

use this setting.

lolz:dt1:dtp1:dto1:dtm1:dtw1:dtd1:mtt0:mt#d64m:tt4 :oh14:fba4096:mc1023:bc8:blr8:bm8

replace # with number of threads u want.
every thread will use 700mb of ram during compression. and during decompression (around 100mb).
since we have used mtt0(ratio will not be affterted because of multithreading) number of threads during decompression will be equal to number of threads during compression.

hmmm i still only see one thread but it is detecting at a much higher level
must be my version of lolz...lol it used to process like 500kbs or a bit higher now it is nearly 2000 on mt4
