Hi....i am german
i will play Opposing fronts v2300 on lan but my friend can not connect
error message is :Zeitueberschreitung
he find me in the list but cannot connect to me!!
can someone help me????

That's a plain "timeout". I guess, your friend has been locked out from your PC or the server by your firewall. If you think it may be because of the crack, well, try it without a crack.

I have exactly the same problem as onkeltoctoc. I think it's something in the 2.300 crack.
I can see my buddy on lan, but can't connect

You can't play on LAN with any of the cracks. Sadly, FLT did a work unworthy of its name with the release, and nobody has bothered to correct it since then.

If you want to play on LAN (assuming, of course, you are not connected to the net, since you wouldn't need the crack), you'll have to use either the original DVD or the mini-image with DT and YASU.

If you use DTLite 4.12 (with SecuROM profile active) you don't need YASU - works with me.
To play in LAN people on relic forums use Hamachi (not the lastest version - this allow them to play custom maps when being developed for some competition).

Ok i thought i would reply in here as i have found a fix so far that is allowing at least 4 people to play a lan game of Company Of Heroes Opposing Fronts.

First DL the mini image from game copy world. do not worry about any cracks they are not needed.

Download and install Daemon Tools latest version. don't change any of the emulation settings they r fine. don't forget to mount the image

Next you will have to edit the hosts file on your computer. This is usually stored in the c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc. just edit it with notepad and after you save it make sure it its name is ONLY hosts not hosts.doc or hosts.txt.

Here is something you can cut and paste into a batch file. it will set your hosts file properly.

attrib c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts -r
echo 127.0.0.1 cohlive-1.quazal.net >>c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts
echo 127.0.0.1 cohlive.quazal.net >>c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts
attrib c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts +r


Once you have done that make sure you do not have any folders in your My Documents\My Games\Company Of Heroes folders.

Hope this helps. I don't play the game myself but the wife does so i had to spend 12hrs trying to work it out lol.

If you bought the gane legally you don't even need a crack, since the serial gets attached to your Relic profile and you don't need the CD anymore.
