NFS: Underground U.S. 1.2 NoCD HERE!

Until GCW updates, I put the newest NoCD fix on my webspace for everyone. This if for the Engligh version that has been updated to 1.2. I don't know if it will let you play online though, but it works in singleplayer as a NoCD fix.

I got the game as well, but after i have installed the game (full installation) and copyed the speed.exe file to overwrite and push it, the screen goes black as if it is going to launch the game, but then after that it goes back to windows...? need some fast help...

After installing the game, you have to UPDATE it before this fix will work. Go into the Start Menu to 'EAGames/Need For Speed Underground/Check For Update and let it update. Then, and ONLY then, will this update work. You may have to have Java installed before the update process works correctly if you are running WinXP (www.java.com)

If the game doesn't run after installing, do a defrag on your harddrive. My friends PC wouldn't run the game until he did a defrag. Don't know why that worked, but it did.

US and ENG Versions are *DIFFERENT*
The ENG version is the European version !!!

You can´t play an european version with an US update or NoCD and vice versa!

GCW & coders always are mixing up these *DIFFERENT* versions.

And it´s right:
The latest German noCD V1.2 doesn´t work - it still requires the original disk 2.

Realy nonsense that a speeddisk should solve such a problem.
