2xDVD9 to 3xDVD5 ENGLISH ONLY

In a temporary folder create the folders ME2_Disc1 and ME2_Disc2
Copy the contents of the first DVD9 to ME2_Disc1.
Copy the contents of the second DVD9 to ME2_Disc2.
Extract the contents of the attached archive to the temporary folder. Overwrite when asked.
Run Runme.bat(it moves and copies files between the folders so you don't have to)
Optional: Use the sfv files provided to check that the files copied/moved ok.
Note: there is plenty of space available on disc 3 for anything that you might want to add.

Burn the discs using the folder names as the labels.
Install sequence: Disc 1 -> Disc 2 -> Disc 3

Note that you can run the installer in the languages provided, but the game will always install as English only.

Install sequence DVD1-DVD2-DVD3

1) Make temp folders:

MassEffect2
ME2_Disc2
ME2_Disc3

2) Copy all files/folders from 1st DVD9 to 'MassEffect2' folder except:

'software' folder

'data\notyourlanguage.rar' files

'data\datasetup.exe' file

'*.rtf' & '*.txt' ( copy only english & your language readme/eula files)

'data\installmanifest_*.ini'3) Copy from 2nd DVD9 to 'ME2_Disc2\data\' folder the following files:

'data\apps.rar'
'data\data01.rar'
'data\data02.rar'
'data\data03.rar'
'data\english.rar'
'data\maps.rar'
'data\other.rar'
'data\ME2.ico'
4) Create autorun.inf in 'ME2_Disc2' folder:

OPEN=0
ICON=data\ME2.ico
5) Copy from 2nd DVD9 to 'ME2_Disc3' folder the following files/folder:

'autorun.inf' file
'autorun.exe' file
'software' folder
'DirectX' folder

all contents of 'data' folder except:

'data\apps.rar'
'data\data01.rar'
'data\data02.rar'
'data\data03.rar'
'data\english.rar'
'data\maps.rar'
'data\other.rar'
'data\installmanifest_*.ini'

6) Extract from 'MASS_EFFECT_2_3xDVD5.7z' archive to 'MassEffect2\data\' & to 'ME2_Disc3\data\' folders the following files:

installmanifest_en.ini
installmanifest_yourlanguage.ini
7) Burn or make ISOs with same labels name of temp folders


For conversion english only :

at step 2 copy only 'EULA_en.rtf' & 'readme_en.txt' files.

at step 6 extract only 'installmanifest_en.ini' from archive.

For italian only is needed also "data\english.rar" (step 3) and "installmanifest_en.ini" (step 6) ?

The english.rar file is needed for all languages, then the conversion will be multi2 italian+english

You can also edit autorun.xml to remove any trace of languages you don't want to have (icons in autorun menu, possible running of setup.exe in an unsupported language etc).

Here goes:

1. Search for <strings language="en">, remove other language blocks.
2. Search for <actionqueue name="selectlanguage_en">, remove other blocks.
3. Search for <case casevalue="en" (two occurences), remove other lines.
4. Search for <condition name="CheckReadmeButton_en", remove other blocks.
5. Search for <xmlbutton name="english", remove other blocks.

Hmmm got an error when clicking setup.exe "No supported languages found. Please contact Bioware"
Is there anyway to fix it?

The conversion is multi 5 (eng,ita,spa,ger,fre) no polish language
If you used the english conversion perhaps you forgot the step 6

2xDVD9 to 4xDVD5 Full Language?

Mass Effect 2 2xDVD9 to 4xDVD5 As Requested

-Create 4 folders name DVD1, DVD2, DVD3, DVD4 in your HDD.
-Copy all files and folders in DVD9 disc1 to DVD1 folder and DVD9 disc2 to DVD2 folder.
-Create folder name data in both DVD3, DVD4 folders.
-Move french.rar in DVD1/data to DVD2/data.
-Move italian.rar and movie.rar in DVD1/data to DVD4/data.
-Move english.rar in DVD2/data to DVD1/data.
-Move dialog.rar and other.rar to DVD3/data.

-Download the attachment and unzip it to DVD1/data folder,replacing the old one.

-Copy all files & folder (except data folder) in DVD2 to DVD3 and DVD4 folder.
-Copy all files & folder (except *.rar) in DVD2/data to DVD3/data and DVD4/data.
-Open autorun.inf in DVD2, DVD3, DVD4 and edit it like this:

OPEN=0
ICON=data\ME2.ico

-You can create crack folder in DVD4, download from gamecopyworld, because the setup finish in DVD4 so copy crack will be easier.

-Burn folder DVD1 -> DVD4 with name ME2_Disc1 -> ME2_Disc4.

DVD1 - 3.09GB
DVD2 - 3.33GB
DVD3 - 3.90GB
DVD4 - 4.21GB
