I'm having trouble with game performance and im not quite sure what it could be. i try to run far cry 2 and it gets really slow maxed out with no AA and even with 8x AA at 1280x1024 resolution and have tried many different things to clear up my problem. any help would be greatly appriciated.

Note: i'm running the evga 8800gs Superclocked card. my cousin has almost the same setup and runs great even on crysis maxed with aa 16xQ.

Make sure your hard disk is well defragmented.

If you have 2 hard disks, always install games on a seperate drive to a windows one, that way access times are quicker.

Also it seems you have a 32bit Vista, which will only see 3GB of your memory.

thanks for the reply but i have tried both things that you have said and i'm totally stumped at what the cause is. is their an issue with the amd x2 7750 and the 8800gs card?
