I've been constantly recieving "Instalation failed" error at the end of installation, and then buy mere accident I've made version which requires DVD1 to be inserted to complete installation. I was suprised to see that installation ended normaly, with "Do you wish to create desktop icon" message.
This is what I did (default .msi database, not edited)
1. Copy entire contet of DVD9 to temp folder.
2. In UltraISO create new iso with label ETQWDVD, drag and drop entire content of temp folder to new compilation (all deleteions are via UltraISO UI, in new compilation, not on hard drive).
3. Delete Extras folder
4. In Setup\Data\base delete
pak002.pk4
pak003.pk4
pak004.pk4
public.cfg
usergroups.cfg
usergroups.example
but leave zpak_english000.pk4 where it is, do not delete it!
Compile image, name it anything you like, i.e. ISO1.
5. Create new iso, with label ETQWDVD and drag and drop entire content of new temp folder to new compilation.
6. from Setup\Data\base delete:
folders:
DEU
ESP
FRA
megatextrues
and file: zpak_english000.pk4
Compile image, name it anything you like, i.e. ISO2.
I've tested these images in Daemon Tools and installation was succsessfull.
Judging buy the file layout in .msi file, last .pk4 files to be copied are zpak_english000.pk4, zpak_german000.pk4, zpak_spanish000.pk4 and zpak_french000.pk4, depending from language selection at installation startup. If I am right, after copying last .pk4 file, problem occurs, only if inserted disk/image is not DVD1 (correct me if I am wrong).
P.S. Sorry for my bad english.
