View Full Version : Clone CD settings for DC copies backup using Plextor 121032A
Ive used the settings given by someone on this forum who uses Clone CD but has a HP USB burner and when I do the copy, it says copy successful but in the DC it just makes swooshing sounds and wont boot. Anyone here using the Plextor and CDClone making working backups please let me know your settings so I can try it.
I get mixed results using DJ and other methods, I just want a consistent way of doing these thingies as I dont have enough cups in the house for all the coasters thus far! :)
Did you try my method for cloneing DC backups with CloneCD? If not see below.
Using the latest CloneCD, Load CloneCD and choose Disc To Disc Copy. Use the options below. This solved many peoples problem, including mine.
.--Read Tab (everything disabled except)
+Read SubChannel & Audio ENABLED
+Fast Error Skip ENABLED
.--Write Tab
+Everything DISABLED
+RAW DAO (choosen)
+MAX (choosen)
.--Global Tab
+File Buffer Size = 4.78 (very important)
Have fun
do you have to have 'Read SubChannel Audio' & 'Read SubChannel Data' both enabled or just Audio? cause if i enable data aswell as audio it tells me my writer aint compatable. But if i enable Audio only then it starts to go to work. But i'm afraid to make yet another coaster so please let me know, thanks.
Well I did follow the procedure below with Dynamite Cop and the disc read and seemed to write okay, the disc shows up with files etc on my PC drive but the game wont work in the DC, comes up as audio cd, so Im buggered if I know....was the procedure below supposed to be for Plextors or all burners?

I also have made an audio cd with those settings. A cool 5th cd now in the bin. (My new record)
i don't know where you guys got those other settings but these are the only settings that do work, i get e-mail confirmations almost daily saying that peoples copies work fine with these settings
the clonecd settings
i use an external 8200HP burner on usb connection, computer with 256megs ram and stupidly huge hard drive and processor
i always use verbatim az0 blue technology 80min, 700mb cdrs the best in my opinion, not a single coaster doing backup to
backup, or image to backup, i rip games and i always use these to backup.
therefore use these settings at your own risk of creating a coaster:
clonecd version 2.4.8...

Unfortunitely, the settings never worked for me.
My burner is a: SAMSUNG COMBO SM-304B BS03
I have another writer (Mitsumi) on another machine but i really dont want a 6th cd wasted.
