Today I have installed Microsoft Office Beta 2007 on my computer and I must say it´s marvellous.
Great new features !!! I can´t wait any longer till I can buy it. Nothing excels this software.
If you want to download go to the microsoft homepage and get registered with just your e-Mail.
Than you can download a 465MB.exe which installs the new software for F-R-E-E-.
I also downloaded the new media player, that´s an outstanding update.

Yeah, yeah, keep supporting this company with its closed-source, undocumented, unsecure, bloated operating systems, applications and file formats... :(

To be honest, office 2003 is not that bad, I'm quite satisfied with it ;)
Especially after SP2 there shouldn't be sooo much vulnerabilies...
It would be hard for me to learn using OpenOffice, even though I have version 2.07 on my comp and never use it LOL
One great point of MS Office is the huge amount of plugins you can get for it, especially the Acrobat thingie is gorgeous...
What I dislike are those huge ugly children-friendly buttons in MSO 2k7...
Sometimes it seems MS people don't see what they're doing...
One thing I still hate at WinXP, those UGLY Win16 error messageboxes, I wonder whether they are too stupid to replace them with "normal" ones that look like Win32... but that's another thing x(
Open office people OPEN OFFICE!
i have always used MS office and although i dissaproove of MS policy on software, i still rather use ms office that i've gotten used to than something else. just my 2 cents

Just for the record, I'm also using Windows XP and M$ Office (because our company partners use it, too). However, it's M$ Office '97 :D and I - as not a boss, just one IT guy - are trying to enforce the use of the RTF format for editable documentation and my bosses are already publishing only-to-print documentations in PDF format (which can be viewed and printed properly on any platform). And, of course, our servers are either Linux or FreeBSD.
There's no need to be hating M$ for every step they make (only for the direction in general :D), just be wary and see/know the situations/tasks for which an "alternative" solution is recommended.

I have Open Office 2.0 on my Linux Partition but can't use it to Print because I cannot find a decent Linux Driver for my damn Canon printer
Few days ago I thought 'why dont give OpenOffice a try?'.
Yesterday I uninstalled MS Office (although I own a student license) :D
OO Writer and Calc really provide all the things you need. And it's free :)
