Hi Guys..

Simple Question Where Can I Get A Trial Version For World Of Warcraft.
Before I Purchase It. Have A Few Doubts. I DO PLAY GUILD WARS.

it really isent much diffrent than guild wars mate,and guild wars is fee free.

go to www.mmorpg.com a really good site,full of links to trials of pay per month games(WoW,everquest,star wars galaxys etc),opinions,screen shots,tips and also links to alot of good freebie alternatives to guild wars ie knight online,silk road,rubys of undertide,maple story.

Save your money, Guild wars is a much better game that has plenty of replay value. Not to mention all the other free MMORPG's out there. The only thing missing from Guild Wars (other then the monthly fee) is abusive players. WoW has a week or two of play then it becomes rediculous. Gathering 40 people together to do a single dungeon (which takes 4 hours) is crazy. Most people don't get the drops, disconnects cause lost XP and frustration. At the price of a new game every 2 months or so content should be released every 2 months ... but it's not. This game was developed in part in the open source community and therefore should have an extremely small development cost. This ( in my opinion) is very disrespecting to the gamers and the initial developers on the open source project. Blizzard once again has shown that it does not care for it's customers.

You cant get a trial version of WoW in europe yet, but if you have a friend with WoW they will have a 7day pass key they got with the game for 1 friend.

But he will have to give you the media, or a backup of it since its not protected in any way.


As for GW being better than WoW, some things yes, but WoW outweighs GW in many many ways.


GW is fee free thats correct
GW can join two professions
GW has nice looking GFX
GW also has nice areas that only you and your group go into when leaving towns.

so 4 good points.


WoW has huge areas to explore and you can have mates or meet people in areas and bond with them and go explore.
WoW has far more unique items and weapons than GW.
WoW has more stories than the usual 1 of GW
WoW although you cant merge 2 professions, has the horde and alliance side, but the professions have unique skills which you can choose from and buy, and offcourse trade skills to help you make money. GW has elites and other skills you have to steal from bodies. Unique yes but not that great.
WoW doesnt have the one way feel like GW, and also with GW once the game is done its kinda done, WoW you can still have something to do and focus on something.
WoW has the auction houses, great mailing system and better chat system and doesnt have 1000 kids running about yelling "omfg noob, I have FOW armor, your a noob, selling perfect gold scythe axe for 1000 plat + 200 ectos"

Well I could go on, but you get what you pay for. And WoW is very addictive. And the raids and PVP's are better than GW's.

Wrong I left GW because of the kids in GW, the spammers, the people trying to rip others off at any opportunity, the FOW armor kids. Its depressing in GW, and Factions once I got, I ran through most of it quite quickly with a few guildies nothing even amazing was new in a way, except a whole new 2 slots for chars and 2 new professions. *WoW has unlimited slots for chars on a selected server*

Their tech support I will agree sucks major bollocks, but the weekly patches always include something new, just recently there will be a new area included in WoW and many more epic and rare items, and revamped skills etc. So they are constantly updating.

Your obviously a GW fanboy, but im not dissing GW its a great experience but its nothing compared to WoW.

Like I said a friend with WoW will have a 7day guest pass.


Then you can buy prepaid cards with 60 days onto the same guest account to keep playing.
