Hi. I bought a new psp last night from the local store and the software version is 1.51. I would appreciate it if you guys could please answer the following questions:

A. How do i upload to firmware version 2.00? I downloaded a file called eboot 2.0 and it contains a eboot.pbp....what do I do with this?
I also have a eboot 1.50 that contains a Firmware 1.50 Japanese...is that what I need to install after i install the firmware 2.00 so that i can run this homebrew and legal umds that I already own? How do i install the 1.50 eboot after installing the 2.00, do i have to delete it or something?
B. When I connect my psp to my computer through usb and try to access the files, all i see is a blank folder. what do i do with this? is this what i dump the eboot 2.0 pbp file to? am i doing something wrong?
C. Do i need to buy a memory card reader/writer or do i send files through the usb cord??? also, if i buy a memory card for the psp thats 2gb from ebay, will that work too? do you recommend that?
D. This might sound dumb, but how do i keep a copy iso of the games that i own?

ANY help appreciated thanks!

Have a look at the post HERE!!! (http://fileforums.com/showthread.php?t=72703) to find out how to downgrade to f/w1.5.

You should be able to upgrade to f/w 2.0 using the demo UMD that came with the PSP.

Yes, you can get 2Gb memory cards but I would recommend only Sony or Scandisk makes.

Once you have downgraded the PSP firmware you can use a program called "FASTLOADER0.7" to make images of UMDs THAT YOU ALREADY OWN!!!

You don;t need a memory card reader. When you connect your psp to your PC you can access the memory card folders through explorer.
