View Full Version : ISO backup program
I need a program that can backup psx games in iso format or can convert bin to iso. I've asked everywhere and tried almost everything. Please help. CDRWIN was actually the only program that could do anything (save a psx game as .bin) but I need .iso because the stupid xbox emu cannot see anything except .iso. Any other converter such as MagicISO and UltraISO will not work. Please help.

Well.. There's clonecd over at slysoft.com.. not sure if it goes to iso but clonedvd does so theres a good chance it will. There's blindwrite. (you'll have to search for that one) theres alcohol 120%. Record now Deluxe.. Any program that would backup dvd's to an ISO i'm pretty sure would backup a CD... Just my theory.. Anyway I hope I broadened your playing field.. Good luck.
Thanks for trying but none of these support iso writing and I can't find a place to download record now.

I havent used my xbox for psx emulation in a long while but I thought it indeed used .cue and .bin files. If anything just suck it up and burn a cd then make an ISO of it.
Tyler!
A .bin/.cue will result in a bootable PSX copy, an .iso will not.
Converting any PSX .bin to .iso is plainly stupid because of that fact.

That's what I need, a program that could make an iso out of a cd. But most programs can't make an iso out of a psx game. THe only one that could was CDRWIN but it can only do .bin.

Blame the emulator, it can only read .iso. It's not like I want to do it.

Maybe you should try a different emulator?
I only know one for xbox and that is PSX. If you know any other and where I could find it, please tell.
I suggest that you take another look at CDRWin.
Hint: File Backup And Tools
However if the PSX CD has audio tracks then you will loose them by creating an .iso file.
