Grandia 2 LOCK UP

I having trouble with grandia 2, when I come out of the church after Millenia destroys it and we fight she casts "zap" on me and the game locks up I've played it a couple times with the same result has anybody had this problem?? and if so please help

This is a common problem with the game and apparently there is a savegame right after the ZAP event, which can be found at megagames.com. Good luck!
