thanks fo the answer , i'm beginner so i'm don't know the difference between antimode and pal2ntsc. could you explain me please?

Anti-mod protected games detect the modchip in the console so the game wont load,
PAL2ntsc changes the region code so your console will correctly play a PAL game on a NTSC console.

Castlvania Symphony of the Night or SOTN is a very old game. It was released 1997. One of the best side scrollers ever made for psx though. I don't think it had anti-mod on it. First game I can remember that did was dino crisis and that was in 1999. Check your disc for scratches. Make sure it is pal or ntsc, look on the top of the cd - however I don't believe there was a euro release of this game, unless you got a copy somewhere it was already patched. You could always pick up another copy off ebay or used bin at a local game store for like $10, I just bought shadow maddness for $8.
