I read somewhere (on this form I think) that this drive could successfuly burn Dreamcast games with DiscJuggler - it would seem, however, that it's incapable of burning 300 sector tracks... therefor being absolutely useless with DJ.

Furthermore, my drive has a firmware version of 7.1F - it says on the Teac web site that the highest revision is 1.1, what gives?

Any help/replies appreciated.

Ok, wtf is going on here... I decided to actually try DJ2.0 with my new CDRW drive, the Teac CDW54E - to my surprise I was successfuly able to burn Sonic 2:TT from the CDI file. As you can tell from my previous post, I was sure I would get a buffer-underun error because when I tried to burn only the 300 sector audio track in WinOnCD (yes, I did change it to only write 298 sectors) I ended up with a CD whose LBA for the 2nd session was 11702 - which I though meant that I wouldn't be able to burn 300 sector tracks. However, it appears DJ was able to do it, otherwise the game wouldn't work.

But, here's the thing. My previous drive was a Mitsumi 2801TE, which caused buffer underrun errors with DJ because it couldn't burn that 300 sector track, so I've always had to use the CDIRIP->ISO BUSTER->etc. method - a real pain in the ass. I was never able to get DJ to work with the Mitsumi.

So, assuming you understood all that, why was DJ able to get that 300 sector audio track? What did it do differently? Something to do with the 2sec gap?

I'd really like to understand what's going on here! If any body has any theories I'd love to hear them!!!
