ea sport games help please !!!

i have bee using back ups for a while, but im having trouble with my ea back ups. i have a v0 ps2 and i am using the swap method. swap magic 3.1 i belive for both dvd and cd. all my games will boot, except those that are EA sports. I have tried NBA Jam, and NBA street Vol 2. Can someone please help me out what i need to do to get these games to boot. i belive i need a patch, but i am not sure how that works the guides are a bot confusing. is that a method that goes something like this

BOOT DISK - PATCH OR BIN FILE - GAME BACK UP ?

LOL. Man its time for a new PS2 and no swap mod lol. Its hard to believe a v0 is still running :) . I dont use Swap magic disc but i was told you dont need to patch EA games when using them. I do know some EA games hide a boot file in the pressed data of the original that cannot be copied. Usually you can find a EA patch at www.gamefreax.de or someplace like that. Not sure if it will help or not though.

its a ps2 v9... all my back ups work fine except for these games

FIFA 2005
NBA JAM
NBA STREET VOL 2

ANY IDEAS

I've got the pal versions of
FIFA 2005 & NBA JAM and both work fine on my v7 and NTSC v12.

Which version of Swap Magic discs are you using? Black and white ones? which say 2.0 when booted.

or

Blue and white ones, version 3.3.

If you're using the 2.0 they're old school now bud, have been for nearly 6-7 months. The 3.3's were brought out to combat the few games that didn't boot with the old discs.

You should have 2 swap magic discs, one for DVD based games and one for CD based games.

i have tested all my back ups. they all work fine except for the following

ESPN 2K 5
NBA JAM
FIFA 2005
NBA BALLERS
NBA STREET VOL 2

ALL HAPPEN TO BE EA GAMES......

ITS NOT MY MEDIA due to the fact i have other games on the same media that work great. i dont know what i need to do, or ow to patch the games. i tryed to make another back up using my current back ups and alchol 120 could not make the image.

I am using swap magic v 3.3 disks i have a PS2 V 9 ( ntsc )

any help would be greatly appreciated i really dont want to drop 400 bucks on a pre moded ps2 if i can easly fix this one with the EA games.... Any suggestions at all.

If i need to patch the EA games before hand, is there anyone who could help me by giving me a detailed walk through to help me get a better visual on the task. My Org games are back home, i brought all my back ups to college so i wont risk all the games getting stolen....
