Before u start 2 yell at me i want u guys 2 know that I'm new here so i dont know if my question goes with the "Xbox games" subject but anyway ..

I had recently chipped my xbox and didn't have a large hdd.. But large enough to copy a game.. But i burned out a game that lagged like hell and i wanted to copy it to my hdd... i already had a game so i wanted to delete the game that i had.. I accedently deleted almost all of my apps...So then a formated my Xbox with superdisc and it worked great.. now we come 2 the problem..

I want to copy songs like I could with out a chipp.. that way i can have them as background in a game.. I've tried with cda files in a CD-R but i wouln't read..

Any ideas?

Boot up your xbox with the original xbox dash and just insert your music cd and copy.

depends, how did you copy your current dashboard onto your xbox? Do you rename anything to xboxdash.xbe? If not, there should be an xboxdash.xbe file in C.

You can just turn the chip off and the original dash should boot up.

All chips can be disabled. If it does not include a switch or boot method, you can always manually add one. I am not sure about the 1.6 xbox's, but all previous versions can have the chip disbled by adding a switch on the d0 to ground connection (just a on/off switch somewhere on the ground wire).

what about this whole switch connected to the front LCD thinger, where u hold it down longer to turn chip on/off???

I believe you mean the power board with the led's. If the chip supports it, it is still fine.

Apperantly i somehow deleted the dash in some funny way... I downloaded a program with a lot of apps and installed them into the hdd and then the Dash worked as good as ever .. I can now have any type of Background music i want.. i just burn them out as cda files.. But does the Xbox read CD-R's? Deleting and burning takes quite long if u have music files for more than an hour.. because the speed on the disc (4x) .. thx

Most xbox drives do not read cd-r's. However, they all read cd-rw's.
