View Full Version : Virtual-Mate Protection, any ideas?
Hey guys, just posting to see if anyone knows anything about Virtual-Mate, an Online Authentication process used by certain games. We over at Rizon.net were wondering if anybody has any idea about it?
The link is http://www.virtual-mate.com , there are screenshots of the program working, its basically a STEAM type program but either way its a new type of protection we need to look at.

I dont think you will get any help here with this type of problem!! The forums are about making legit backups of your own purchased games! Not about how to bypass online activations!
And Creating 2 threads about the same problem wont get you any where either!
Bottom line: Pay if you want to Play!

The problem with this system is not just online activation, but you need to validate your copy online EVERY time you want to play, even though it is an offline game.
This is a big problem for:
1. Those on dialup
2. Those that want to play a game while laptop and away from their home
3. When someone's internet connection is down
Not to mention what would happen when the game is too old and the validation servers are taken offline.
I woudlent care less if the virtual Mate games only needed me to register once to activate my copy, but the validate every time for an offline game is annoying as hell.
Bottom line: Pay if you want to Play!
It doesnt really have anything to do with that, I have 100% Supported the games, have bought them on several occasions, but I Dont support this type of chronic and annoying protection..
It has a 3 user limit which makes things worse for selling on, lending to a friend and/or upgrading your PC.
