Hi

I'm the proud owner of a dreamcast but I'm after using copied (backed up - honest) games on it. Unfortunately...

When I try to use a bootdisk on it, it doesn't seem to work. It goes through the checking disk process then just jumps back to the screen with the 4 icons on it. I have also used a self loading game which a friend of mine has used on his DC but it does the same thing - just dumps me back at the boring 4-icon screen. I can use it with original games and audio cd's but just not copies/boot disks.

It's a UK machine - does that matter?

Any tips?

ahha...the uk DC machines arent so swell when it comes to picking up certain backup games...dunno why? maybe its cos the laser arent as strong as the jap machines...who knows...i made a copy of cap vs snk(jap) and it worked well on my jap machine...but me mate cant it get going on his uk pal...i'm still trying to figure out why...maybe the game needs a pal/lba patch or something

I did wonder. Strange thing is, the copy of a game which doesn't work on mine but does work on a friends which is also a UK DC. Strange...
