about xbox backups

hi i'm new to xbox backups when i burn a dvd game disc it works fine, but i cannot get any game to work if it's on a cd-r. do i have to put the game on a dvd disc and if so how.i have alcohol 120% nero 6. can someone help me please

i've read the sticky things but there is nothing about how why games burnt on a cdr wont boot in my xbox or how to put a game under 700mb on a dvd-r
i am asumming you burn it as a data disc as you would a cdr but on a dvd disc.

what modchip do you have and which dashboard are you running on the xbox to ftp?

unkown all i want to do is take a few games i've got like house of the dead 3 which is about 600mb burn it to a cdr and play but the xbox will not load the disc

oh i forgot the games are already iso's and ready to burn

If you don't know how to burn an iso, chances are that you did not create it. Cd-r's don't work the the majority of xbox's.
