Hi everybody (hi Dr. Nick)
I ran bios checker on my xbox and it came up with
CHIP TYPE -> LPC based(SST 49LF020)
Using genuine BIOS -> Xecuter2 4975
BIOS MD5 Hash -> "damn long"
Now can someone verify with me to verify that i have correctly verified that i can flash my mod chip verify?
Or do i STILL need to violate my xbox (open it up) ?

SST 49LF020 are generally used in cheapmod modchips. They are also generally flashable. I cannot tell whether yours is or not withough looking at it, or knowing the manufacturer, but chances are that they are.

Ok i'll take that chance (that is is flashable)
If i do go ahead, when im fixing up my bios with XBTool, what should i set my DVD Drive to?
I have followed ur tutorial for installing EvoX and have checked this:
my EvoX: evoxdash.xbe
my MS: msxboxdash.xbe

the dvd drive should always be default.xbe
I have my boot order like this:
1. dashboard.xbe
2. evoxdash.xbe
3. xboxdash.xbe
If dashboard.xbe is not found, it will boot to evox, then the xbox dash. You can just keep them as default, since you evoxdash.xbe there. It should boot to it first. But, make sure you rename your ms dash back to xboxdash.xbe, since there is noneed not to anymore.

Quall i have mine set like this in XBTool
DVD Drive: default.xbe
1. evoxdash.xbe
2. msxboxdash.xbe
3. (left blank)
Two questions -
1. Y do u have have dashboard.xbe?
2. (with all do respect) Y should i rename msxboxdash.xbe to xboxdash.xbe?

1. Well, sometimes I put generic (as in not set in the bios to boot) dashboards on C, and don't want to mess with the bios to have em boot first. I might want to have mxm boot, so i'd rename it to dashboard.xbe and it will boot first.
Right now though, I am runnin a hacked ms dash, and it is named dashboard.xbe so it will boot first.
2. well, that way your xbox will work if you turn your chip off. And If you ever hit "go live" in a game (accidental or not) and there is an update for xbox live (or an updated MS dash in the game), your dashboard won't corrupt.
