so i have like 8 zip games in the .cdi format that i want to burn. but everytime that i try to it will burn fine with no problems until the last second when the buffer starts to slow down.

so it'll burn at 99% and the buffer reader goes from 98% to 1% and then it'll say "error: buffer under run or read error"

is there something wrong with the file or just my burner? i have no idea so any help would be appreciated.

It might or might not be your burner. Try burning one of those images again but don't have any other programs running. You can also have the option to Test & Verify before the write incase you don't want to waste a CDR. If that doesn't work try replacing your ram chips.

yeah usually i will close all other applicaitons and just walk away and let it test/verify/burn, but it will still do the same thing.

i guess ill have to burn them onto cd and try to have a friend do it for me or something. im not sure why this is happening because a cople of other .cdi files worked and burned just fine.

is there any possiblity that my burner just doesn't like the type of cdr that im trying to burn it with?

like would there be any difference between a cheap cdr and an expensive one?

CDRs usually aren't the REAL problem. It depends on whether your burner is compatible with that type of CDR or not (the same goes for burning sofware). And if it isn't, the burner usually does NOT recognize the disc after your insert it.

or, you can use cdi2nero on the cdi image and burn it with nero. my burner doesnt like cdi images so nero is the way to go for me.

thanks for the cdi2nero idea, i tried it and TESTED it and it worked.

then when i really did burn it, it worked without any buffer error, but when i tried putting it in my DC it didn't even recognize it. like the cd wasn't even spinning. i tried it with the boot disc and without.

im having my friend try to burn the images for me and see if that makes any difference.
