View Full Version : Another nrg burning problem...

OK, I finally found a SFA3 .nrg (it appears to be the only image available). I tried to burn the game using Nero, but it doesn't work in my DC, even with a boot disc. Now I've played plenty of other burned games so it can't be the DC.

Suggestions?

Don't be an a$$hole, djgarf.

Nemo4ever: burn the .nrg with Alcohol 120% (version 1.4.8.1222 only!) in RAW-DAO mode, or get Nero 5.5.10.x and burn it in DAO/96 (not DAO) mode.

I'm not that stupid :P I know damn well where to get original rar sets, if the need arises. There's nothing wrong with .nrg re-rips though. I do them all the time, and I have a reputation for releases that always work. :P

you may well be able to do them ok but that dont mean everyone can so it's better not to take the risk :)

WTF are you talking about :P I said I'm well-known for .nrg images that always work :P More and more people know that Nero 5.5.10.x and DAO/96 is the way to burn them (though Alcohol 120% can be made to burn them 100% with a little trick, too) :D

i know what i prefer and u know what u prefer not worth argunig about ;)

Then follow your own advice and leave the .nrg format alone

i'm not picking on the nrg format ffs
i just dont like repacks on any kind and if u only knew the ammount of people that come on irc saying they got a dc game in nrg format and it wont burn no matter what then maybe u might see where i'm coming from

Not really - it's their problem. I see your point about repacks, I don't trust them too much myself - but mine do have a reputation for working (not to sound stuck-up or anything)... and with a little research, everyone could figure out for themselves that it takes Nero 5.5. and DAO/96 mode - or at least an up-to-date Nero 6.3.x.x - to burn .nrg images properly
