View Full Version : CVS2 Mix
Everyone knows how bad the CVS2's music is, so made a new version of the PS2 copy by replacing all the music with what I liked. Can someone tell me how to do this with the DC Copy?

well i dont believe its much harder .. convert the adxs loop them replace, rehack the bins and burn . its the bins that will be your problem .. theres a couple of tools youll need like cineplayer and adxncd . 1 thing tho have you uncovered a prog to open the players voice files? it was doable for capvssnk1 but for 2 i dont believe. iv enoticed a mugen site has them but im unsure if he recorded them with a mic . any way he got it off the ps2 . .maybe ill brake out my ps2 version and check it out
I'm not positive, but I think I do recall seeing player voices in adx when I looked inside the .AFS files of the PS2 Version.

The ADX files are easy to replace. Some of them (notable adx_win1.bin through adx_win5.bin) include some announcer voices, but they can still be replaced and wont affect game play. Just encode your stuff to ADX's, make sure the volume is pretty high, and replace the adx*.bin with your new stuff. the adx_st##.bin are the background stage music, but there are other tracks you can replace as well; they are pretty obvious what they are by the naming convention.

How do i convert wav to adx? i've tried using "adxencd"
but i'm not getting any response. And does the file name matter, if there's a space, etc. ?
After converting to adx, i'd have to convert to bin?
No, once you have your .adx files, just change the file extension. There is no separate .bin format for sound files, that's just to confuse you, nothing else :D

oh yeah bud and i almost forgot dont forget to loop the audios
after you convert wav to adx it will give you a number so just .. reconvert the same song and use the values it gave you == adx2wav(or whatever itscalled ) song.wav -lps0(song start default for all tracks) -lpe99334455667(or whatever the number was) and thats it wait for it to convert open it in cineplayer and it will say loop if it doesnt reconvert it . again thats if you want your music to loop .
laters
are you sure about the voices being in audix ? ill have to toss in the ps2 disc and check hope so want to replace some characters voices with classics . i always did dig that sf2 "Hado-oo-ken" for ryu of course
