Ok... well i'm looking to change the soundtrack on 3rd strike. Now everyone says that its the same as MVC2 and CVS..... well then they have not...
the game has 3 tracks for each stage....
when changed.... the game will not boot.... so.... i am wondering if there was something that limits the size of the file being used.
does anyone know a way around this?
TIA

well, it's basically the same, that's right...the fact that there're more adx's for each stage it's nothing compared to other music changing methods, like .afs files...that's bitchy.
mmm about the limit, i dunno, but try to make them no longer than 3 mins per version...the quality doesn't matter really i think.
then do the echelon selfboot method, that should work sweet...at least for me it does.

I have changed the music on 3S, and I say its the same as mvc2 and cvs2.
Yes, it has 3 tracks for each stage. No big deal. This doesn't affect anything important. Instead of having one song for each stage, you have one song for each of three rounds for each stage.
You say the game won't boot now, then you missed something when creating it. Some of the tracks, IIRC, were three megs or more. Try not to got too far past this if you can help it, and also try to make your tracks all looped like the originals were. Also, if you replace the 'vs' track (I forget the name. something like 50_vs.adx. The number isnt important, just the 'vs' part) then do NOT make it looped. The game waits for the track to end before continuing, and since it never ends, it loops forever.
Otherwise, keep trying.
