mod software

hi guys,


i read somewhere (but i don't where, that's my problem) that it's possible to mod an xbox just with software and without a chip.

is this true and can the modded xbox do the same as the modded chip ones? i don't think so if not where would be the interest of the chip ?

i try to make a search on this forum but without good result.

Ya you can. Its just a trick done with game saves and reflashing the TSOP.

It dose the same as a modchip, but it screws you over if you want to play on XBox Live.

i personally like softmods better (that is what its called when you have a xbox modded without a chip) because there free. they are also more coonfusing, to do, but if you do it its very good. i have a soft modded xbox and love it. you can go on xblive any time you want with the mechassault hack, unless mech assault is in the drive and you load a certain save game. kest if your interested in softmodding you can PM me ill walk you through it.

hellspawn i heard the same thing about modding the x-box, if you dont mind when you walk him through it, could i be there so I could do mine also?
Im a total noob when it comes to this and Id rather not try to do it by myself.
Also leave me a list of anything i need to get before we do it so i can have everything ready.
