dont know if you have to solder (Lmao,"no soldering!"...."some soldering required"..lol) but most new chips have a switch for between 1.2,1.1,1.0 and 1.3+. or maybe its between 1.3 and 1.4+, well i kno its sumthin like that anyway. :)

i have one of these in my xbox and it works really nice!
it requires soldering on the 1.5 xbox but they have developed a addon wire that will be released in the next few weeks that will mean no soldering on any xbox which will be a first for any modchip!
i used the no solder method in my xbox too and it was so easy to do,just line it up and screw it down and it's installed

I've modded a couple of machines with the X-BIT and it's a very neat chip.

Build quality was second to none and had absolutly no problems in either 1.2 or 1.4v xbox.

the 1.2 was being a Pain in the ass with the matrix and I didn't have and solder to fill the holes. Put the xbit in and it booted first time.

(Oh, and the lil switch for the bios's? I stuck it on the back of the machine with white-tak....looks the piece!)

It supports 6 bios, can be solderless, and uses a USB plug to your PC to flash with their software (if you want). Need I say more?

lol! Ah, but it doesn't play GT4 does it?? Sorry :( I've just got the prologue edition and it's got a damn sexy Mitsubishi Evo 8 in it....need it say more? hehe! :p

"X-B.I.T and Xbox v1.5 news
>> From dms3.com:

After finally receiving a v1.5 console we can now confirm that the X-B.I.T can be installed on v1.5 consoles without soldering. We are sorry for the misinformation in the foregoing news post. We actually never had a v1.5 console in our hands, we were only relying on information from the public. The LPC port on the v1.5 consoles is no longer providing GND and 3v3. This is why other modchips need to be connected to the according points on the mainboard by soldering or using special adapters. The X-B.I.T is operating with a 5v supply voltage which is still available on the LPC port. The GND connection gets established by screwing the X-B.I.T on the board. Please ensure that you only use the bundled screw and spacer.

We can therefore confirm that the X-B.I.T is a completely solderless solution for v1.0 - v1.5 consoles as it is from the first day of it's release. No additional cables or adapters are needed. We removed the misleading information from the former posts.

i find it highly amusing that dms3 have only just got a 1.5 to test but for them to find out it works perfect now on all models without soldering will push chip sales to the limit!
