I'm curious to how everybody feels about Ed Fries leaving Microsoft. Personally I think he was forced to leave for reasons unknown to us. Anybody else got an idea?

ed fries was the head of microsoft game studios, he left to pursue "other goals" .i agree wit RMS, he prob wanted a TON of money and bill didnt want to pay up.

he was responislbe for obtaing ememsble Studios(I know I spelled it wrong but I'm too tired to find the right way to spell) Bungie and Rare under the banner of M$. He's been pretty much "The face of the xbox" as it was put in an article...but evdently he wasn't as well known :)

whoa.. ensemble is under M$ now? they should make some kinda age of empires rts for xbox.. that would be c00l!
oh, btw did you dudes know that halo was gonna be a rts?
i saw it on tv its true! (although i've also seen bald ppl pour a black liquid on their heads and suddenly grow all their hair back on infomercials on tv...)

I don't think so. Halo has Bungie's baby for a year or two even before the XBox was thought of. I remember seeing beta videos of it years ago and it was under the Bungie name

no dude i saw it on some kind discovery channel special my dad was watchin it even had some footage of it. damn, now im gonna have to look all over the internet for this.....
