A soldered ship is the way to go. This way you won't have to take it apart when you bump it and the chip moves.

If your dead set on not soldering, get the X2.3 Plus.

If your going to get a premod, get a chip with a X2 chip.

Hey rms, Ive had a matrix for over a year now and have bumped it quite a few times. I still have not needed to open up my xbox and realign the chip.

I guess it was tight enough or somethin.

Tyler, it seems you and I are the only two people that don't have their Matrixes move on them. I've taken mine to Oregon and back and it didn't move. I even took mine to Colorado and it did't move. But we will see on the return trip back home. :p The only time my chip moved was when I took it to the east coast with me, it also moved on the way back... But I guess after a 6,000 mile trip, its gonna move.

But any way... When I get home I have to install three X2s and one of them in going in my XBox. Got my Matrix solder to a buddy of mine. I think I'm going to try and see him an X2 insted and keep my Matrix for a back up.
