yea so iwas still wondering
is it possible to keep my 120 gig hdd in
and do any sort of exploit to allow me to take my matrix out but keep my evox and x2 bios?
some one let me noe

May I ask why? As long as the HDD is locked, you no longer need the matrix for the HDD. If you want evox to load, you can do the font xploit to boot pheonix bios loader, which boots the hacked bios that load evox. But, if you want to do an exploit, you can say good bye to xbox live because as long as the exploit is there, you cannot go online.

i dont wanna be so gentle because my matrix is in there
what do u mean as long as my hdd is locked i dont need the matrix?.... i dont think its locked right now because if i take the matrix out i get the error message...
i could honestly care less about xbox live
i just dont wanna go through the hassle of readjusting my matrix
cuz ive alraedy lost about 500 bucks
what i basically want is to keep my evox and x2 bios on my hdd.. without takin my hdd out ....

Hot clug the matrix down. Just a little glue on the corners. Dont put any glue on any chips on the board, just the traces.

That will keep your Matrix from moving.

nah i decided..
i just wanna take the matrix out
but still have it boot with the evox and bios
itd be good if someone could help me out how..
i dont think i could just use an exploit now with the new hdd in and itd work...
or could it...?

coudl i just run an exploit even though my xbox is currently modded so taht the bios is running off the hdd or would that conflict?

u can boot off an original bios

u can boot off an original bios
The HDD won't boot to MS Dash with an unlocked HDD. If you lock it, it will boot up notmal.

IMO exploits are a little dumb. Modchips are the way to go.

No, it wont boot EvoX. You need a hacked BIOS to boot EvoX.
If it locked it will be MS Dash.

that will let me run the bios off the hdd but also allowing me to have the new hdd in....
with evox and games as well

could i just load the phoenix bios loader on the hdd now and have it run the bios off the hdd?

Not right off the bat, because it is unsigned. The exploits fix that. Also if your ms dash does not boot with the chip out/off, u need to lock your hdd. As long as it is not locked, you cannot do anything without the chip, at all.

With the exploits, u cannot have the xbl 2.0 dashboard. And like rms2001 said, the modchip is a million times more handy. btw, if u are going to use the pheonix bios loader, for future referance, the boot screen cannot be changed.

the matrix and x2 4977 bios.. and 1.8.3285 evox...
what i have handy:
the signed phoenix bios loader 1.3...x2 4979 repack.. evox build 3921...
so what do i needa do?
