Well I was just wondering if it were possible to back up a Copy Protected Music CD using the Copy feature on your Xbox? Or do the same rules apply as the PC that it just cant read it?

Has anyone tried this?

Im talking about the ones that you cant rip with your normal pc drive. Since the Xbox drive is a bit different Im wondering if it can read it, and if so can I back them up that way. Sorta like backing up an Xbox game?

Ya, if your XBox would "rip" the CD to the HDD you can than FTP in and grab the WMA's as AX pointed out. Once you have them on your PC, you could be able to convert them over to MP3 if you like.

You might want to try reading it from ftp first though, it just may read the music of the disk.
