Ok yes I am newbie, I just bought the xbox the other night - installed the x2 lite (header pin method) 4977 BIOS and have a v1.1 unit. I have no problems connecting to the xbox via ftp but when I try to copy a game to my PC (Madden 2004) it gets to a file on the Madden DVD and stops. This also happens on Turok Evolution, it starts to copy most of the files and then gets to one or two files and just stops. Is this some kind of protection on the disks? Has anyone had this problem, I have been searching on the web for an answer but find nothing. Could I have a bad drive? I have a Phillips unit in mine.

Try using media-x-menu, or avalaunch. If it copies, a small amount of files, the just stops for no reason, this might fix your problem.

Yo, Quall why is that man? I am interested in why those 2 dashboards would work better? Does it have to do with the version of Xbox or something?

You Rock!!
Switched over to use the Avalaunch FTP and it is screaming, I am transfering Madden 2004 over the xbox wireless adapter as I write this. Just upgraded to a 802.11g wireless router last night and the speed is great 1,700,000kBps. Does this glitch have something to do with the FTP program that is part of evox?
I guess now I am going to get ready to replace the HD. How do I set up the file structure to play games & apps off the HD? Now I have a DVD burner and my first copy worked great on a DVD+R disk. I know until I get the HD this will do but I would like to learn, I know there are a few docs out there descibing this swap. Any tips, also what drive could I use, can I just go up to compusa tomorrow and pick up any drive? What is the limitation on size?

Very cool. I have got to admit that after using MXM Ive personally noticed a transfer rate that doubled my old Evox transfer rate in most areas. I am still gonna test this out further but so far I like what I see.
